[Bug 1181666] Re: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows
Until I performed the last update on 2018-08-16, I was not experiencing this issue. Now I started to experience random mouse clicks misses with no apparent pattern, making the usage very annoying but not impossible. Usually I misses the first clicks right after I move the mouse to the desired position. Usually the first few clicks after I stop moving are ignored but if I insist pressing it, it is eventually computed. The mouse over events are working properly because links on the browser and button highlights change as expected so it appears that only the clicks are affected. The problem always happens when I switch applications using the mouse (the first click never works). The same happens when I activate a context menu. The only relevant package installed that day was linux- modules-4.15.0-32-generic but a few days earlier, gdm3 was also upgraded. I'm using bionic X64 with XOrg using RX480 with amdgpu-pro drivers and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181666 Title: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1181666/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. [Bug 1788520] [NEW] multiple boot problems if /usr is on a logical volume
Public bug reported: xubuntu 18.04.1 After standard installation with LVM, I created further LVs, namely for /usr, /var, /tmp and /home. The boot delays about 30 seconds waiting for /usr, this delay is caused by wait-for-root. Also, the /usr volume can not be defined by its label in fstab, it fails to find it at boot time. It seems both problem are caused because wait-for-root is called before the /usr LV is activated, adding "vgchange -a y" in "init" just before calling mountfs for /usr allows the boot to complete if /usr is defined by its label, and eliminates the delay if it is pointed by the /dev/mapper/ device. ** Affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788520 Title: multiple boot problems if /usr is on a logical volume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1788520/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1788519] [NEW] package base-files 10.1ubuntu2.2 failed to install/upgrade: package base-files is already installed and configured
Public bug reported: I tried to change graphical card driver, using Gnome System Settings > Software & updates > additional Drivers, from xserver-xorg-video-nouveau to NVIDIA. After commiting this change, surprisingly, the driver was still the initial one !? So I redo the same operation, and this time it succeed, but generating the current bug. I suppose that things were partially done during the first attempt and completed by the second, but with errors due to the staff that was already performed during the first attempt. Note that it it mandatory to change graphical driver when installing Ubuntu on ASUS desktop. Anyway, great thanks for your OS : it is very nice to use it daily like I do !
