[Bug 1789547] Re: Kaffeine does not hide channel list in fullscreen when the 2nd screen lef to kaffeine

2018-08-28 Thread mmm
There is a workaround when you switch to "playback" tab on left side.
But when you want to switch channel you have to witch the tabs.

[Bug 1789547] [NEW] Kaffeine does not hide channel list in fullscreen when the 2nd screen lef to kaffeine

2018-08-28 Thread mmm
Public bug reported:

$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
Release:18.04

$ apt-cache policy kaffeine
kaffeine:
  Instalovaná verze: 2.0.14-1
  Kandidát: 2.0.14-1
  Tabulka verzí:
 *** 2.0.14-1 500
500 http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/universe amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When you have two screens aligned side by side and you put kaffeine to
play full screen on right screen I would excpect that if you start work
on the screen on left the channel list would disappear, at least in some
distance from the screen edge. Now the channel list is all the time
visible and for people watching the tv it is really annoying to have the
channel list all the time visible.

[Bug 1789343] Re: mysqldump in MySQL 5.7 running on Ubuntu 18.04 does not release memory

Command run to take backup of databases:

for db in $(mysql -e 'show databases;' | grep "DB_PREFIX"); do mysqldump
--no-tablespaces --single-transaction $db > "$db_bk.sql"; done

I have added "--no-tablespaces" argument to avoid slowness and load
during backup which seemed related to bug https://bugs.launchpad.net
/percona-server/+bug/1589334 .

I have attached the output of "SHOW ENGINE INNODB STATUS" query when
taking backup.

until close to the end of the cycle?

[Bug 1598851] Re: Firefox - dotted border only in Ubuntu

2018-08-28 Thread Paul White
vinc-q,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some
time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

It would help us a lot if you could test on a currently supported Ubuntu
version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the
updated logs by running only once in a terminal:

apport-collect 1598851

and add any additional information that you think relevant.
Alternatively, please confirm that this is no longer a problem and that
we can the report. If we do not hear from you this bug report will
expire in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Bug 1652282] Re: Xwayland not using XAUTHORITY, prevents root applications from connecting

2018-08-28 Thread Daniel van Vugt
I'm only recently familiar with the Mutter design, but...

Mutter is the graphics platform on which gnome-shell is built. Mutter
supports running under a Xorg server, or none at all on bare metal
(Wayland mode). So in order to provide a seamless consistent interface
in the latter case it spawns Xwayland, which allows X apps to work with
Wayland even when Mutter's not running on Xorg. In this way, any shell
built on Mutter has the option to use Xorg or Wayland, and if using
Wayland can still transparently run X apps.

"Clutter" is the graphics toolkit on which Mutter is built. "Cogl" is
the graphics toolkit on which Clutter is built. Cogl uses OpenGL
directly. Yes, that's probably too many layers but that's how things
evolved.

[Bug 1777338] Re: Linux 4.15.0-23 crashes during the boot process with a "Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference" message

2018-08-28 Thread Adam Novak
I don't seem to have access to change the tag, but I can confirm that
4.15.0-34-generic from -proposed solves the problem. So the tag should
be verification-done-bionic.

[Bug 1789527] [NEW] Galera agent doesn't work when grastate.dat contains safe_to_bootstrap

2018-08-28 Thread Aymen Frikha
Public bug reported:

Galera resource agent is not able to put mysql up and master even if
safe_to_bootstrap flag in grastate.dat is set to 1.

* res_percona_promote_0 on 09fde2-2 'unknown error' (1): call=1373,
status=complete, exitreason='MySQL server failed to start (pid=2432)
(rc=0), please check your installation',

The resource agent is not able to handle safe_to_bootstrap feature in galera:
http://galeracluster.com/2016/11/introducing-the-safe-to-bootstrap-feature-in-galera-cluster/

I use percona cluster database which uses the same galera mechanism for
clustering.

Packages I use in Xenial:

resource-agents 3.9.7-1
percona-xtradb-cluster-server-5.6 5.6.37-26.21-0ubuntu0.16.04.2
pacemaker 1.1.14-2ubuntu1.4
corosync 2.3.5-3ubuntu2.1

A workaround exist in :
https://github.com/ClusterLabs/resource-agents/issues/915
A fix also exist but it was not addressed to xenial package:
https://github.com/ClusterLabs/resource-agents/pull/1022

Is it possible to add this fix on the recent package of resource-agents
in Xenial ?

[Bug 1789492] Re: suspending system causes full shutdown

2018-08-28 Thread Luciano Porta
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected bionic

** Description changed:

Whenever I close the lid of my laptop or hit the power button, my PC is
unable to suspend correctly. The system shutdowns with no indication
that it ever enters the suspension state (no blinking power LED) and
when I turn it on again it boots to the BIOS and goes to the GRUB and
  login like nothing happened.

By the way, pm-suspend does works, systemctl suspend (which I think is
  the default) does not.

If I can help with any information let me know, any help will be
  appreciated. Thanks!

[Bug 1789523] [NEW] The ssh-agent launcher script fails to relaunch ssh-agent

2018-08-28 Thread Christopher Snowhill
Public bug reported:

There is an issue with the Xsession, in which logging out and logging
back in again does not clear environment variables, so the ssh-agent
script thinks that the agent is already running, and thus does not
bother to start it again.

I have altered the script, albeit in not the most pretty way, to detect
if the agent is already running, and if not, force a restart.
