[Bug 1792294] [NEW] Generates unbootable initrd: Out of Memory Error
Public bug reported: I am currently using Cosmic (which is not released yet) and version 0.131ubuntu10 of "initramfs-tools" always generates unbootable initrd. After I select the kernel to boot during GRUB it says: "Loading initial ramdisk... Error: Out of memory". And then it halts forever. This issue appears on all kernel versions. The system is on UEFI + GPT. Note that I don't have a swap partition on my system, but I don't think it's the cause. Re: [Bug 1758306] Re: Cannot switch mouse primary button to Right (left-handed) in Settings
I found that in my situation it was the upgrade not working good with some config settings in my ~/home. When I was beta testing, I don't think the Ubuntu developers considered that many problems are associated with upgrades. Once I did a clean install, this situation was gone. Re: [Bug 1791537] Re: 4.15 linux kernel - unable to access the internet
Question - as I was trying to implement the .19 kernel, I ran into issues that appeared to be linked to Virtual Box. Per the instructions ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds?action=show=KernelMainlineBuilds) Virtual box would need to be removed to get around the issue. My question is after the .19 is implemented could I then reinstall Virtualbox? Also, could I just wait it out until the next Ubuntu update that had another kernel update and would that fix the problem? [Bug 1792195] Re: Signal 7 error when running GPFS tracing in cluster
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1792195/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
