[Bug 1804329] Re: lubuntu 19.04 daily - pcmanfm-qt (dolphin..) moves window position on opening device, folders or adjust size of windows (when on 2nd display only with vertical placement)
Lubuntu 20.04 QA-Test on hp 8200 elite sff (i5-2400, 8gb, nvidia quadro 600) grrr hitting 'places' in pcmanfm-qt causes window to warp to new position & be drawn between screens... the placement of the monitors (in Monitor.Settings) & KEEP.MONITORS.ATTACHED being checked is key, if I uncheck (keep.monitors.attached) and have a tiny gap between monitors, pcmanfm-qt moving around screen instantly stops... Of note I re-checked KEEP.MONITORS.ATTACHED and put back to as they were before, and issue didn't re-occur??? (Last I did with this was try and work out what to write on upstream bug issue, but at times I become confused, and wasn't able to check/confirm my words in tests before posting on github, or it was sometimes confirmed, next try worked perfectly, so I never actually posted anything I think because of this I've avoided re-testing for this; today I wasn't actually re-testing for this issue and it just occurred...) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1804329 Title: lubuntu 19.04 daily - pcmanfm-qt (dolphin..) moves window position on opening device, folders or adjust size of windows (when on 2nd display only with vertical placement) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxqt-session/+bug/1804329/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1310121] Re: headphones working while speakers not working
Same problem in pulseaudio 1:11.1-1ubuntu7.4 on Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia base: Ubuntu 18.04 bionic. Speakers are muted at boot and remains muted after plug and unplug headphones. Only can be activated from alsamixer, unmuting the headphones while the headphones are unplugged. Both speakers and headphones muting seems to be controlled in the Headphones area using alsamixer. I've "solved" it in a not very good way, keeping automute activated in alsamixer, modifiyng /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog- output-headphones.conf and executing a bash script at boot (sonido.sh) with the command "amixer set -c 0 Headphone unmute 100%" in order to prevent the speakers being muted. Tomorrow I'm going to send more details and try to reproduce the same bug using Xubuntu 18.04. [Bug 1865444] Re: [radeon] Dual monitor loop login
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1865444 Title: [radeon] Dual monitor loop login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1865444/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1868029] [NEW] focal not using /usr/bin/kvm-spice as default emulator
Public bug reported: On Focal, I created a new KVM machine using virt-manager. Nothing special, just a bionic guest. Upon examining the qemu-system-x86_64 process that got spawned, /usr/bin /qemu-system-x86_64 was executed directly, and my override in /usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 was not executed, and upon further examination of the qemu command line, -enable-kvm was missing: $ps ax | grep qemu-system /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 -name guest=ubuntu18.04 I then looked at the libvirt XML generated with: $ virsh edit ubuntu18.04 Under the section, I see: /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 On bionic and xenial, this was set to: /usr/bin/kvm-spice /usr/bin/kvm-spice is a symlink to /usr/bin/kvm, which contains the following script: #!/bin/sh exec qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm "$@" This is where -enable-kvm is added to the command line, and qemu-system- x86_64 is called from $PATH, and is not hardcoded. [Bug 1867977] Re: Gnome shell crashed when attempt to lock screen / open app drawer with an active window
** Tags added: eoan ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1867977 Title: Gnome shell crashed when attempt to lock screen / open app drawer with an active window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1867977/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1867990] Re: dpkg: error: info database format (2) is bogus or too new; try getting a newer dpkg
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1867990/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1868009] [NEW] Xorg high CPU usage and stuttering on ubuntu 20.04
Public bug reported: Hi there! I'm experiencing some stuttering on my machine after running updates today Mar 18th. The stuttering is for all visual effects including mouse movement, videos playing, dragging windows, animations and more. The stuttering is not affecting sound (as far as I can tell). The stuttering does not seem to happen on any regular interval, but does happen every 500-1000ms lasting for 50-100ms... just enough to be annoying enough to open a bug report :P I think that this issue is related to Xorg and the nvidia drivers doing something, but I'm not sure what exactly could be the issue. Here are some related links that led me to report this bug: - https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/568173/nvidia-drivers-390-440-stuttering-ubuntu-20-04 - This led me to start thinking that the problem could be with Xorg or nvidia - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-440/+bug/1867352 - I'm experiencing all of these problems reported (including the Xorg.conf message), but I'm not getting a full freeze, I'm only getting stuttering) Steps I've taken: - Updated my system to latest packages on 20.04 - Installed [kwin-lowlatency](https://github.com/tildearrow/kwin-lowlatency) when I thought it might be related to the compositor - Toggled various compositor and Xorg settings - A few reboots here and there If I'm not including enough information please let me know what else to include and how to report it. [Bug 1868005] [NEW] Xorg high CPU usage and stuttering on ubuntu 20.04
Public bug reported: Hi there! I'm experiencing some stuttering on my machine after running updates today Mar 18th. The stuttering is for all visual effects including mouse movement, videos playing, dragging windows, animations and more. The stuttering is not affecting sound (as far as I can tell).
