[Bug 1928519] Re: It seems you have modified the contents of "/etc/update-manager/release-upgrades". Would you like to add the contents of it to your bug report?
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-life on April 29, 2021. See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling us which new version it is in. You've filed the bug against `ubuntu-release-upgrader` ; the tool which would upgrade your 16.04/xenial system to 18.04/bionic. If your system was just installed 10 days ago, I'd recommend installing with supported media (particularly Ubuntu 20.04 LTS). A Support site would I suspect be appropriate at getting around this issue quickly, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community- support/709 Please also note; as 16.04 is now no longer in standard support, many sites don't provide support unless your question is specific to aiding you to move to a supported release of Ubuntu. FYI: 16.04 means the 2016-April release of Ubuntu which had 5 years of standard support ending 2021-April. https://fridge.ubuntu.com/2021/03/13/extended-security-maintenance-for- ubuntu-16-04-xenial-xerus-begins-april-30-2021/ ** Changed in: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1928519 Title: It seems you have modified the contents of "/etc/update-manager /release-upgrades". [Bug 1928526] [NEW] DHCP Cluster crashes randomly
Public bug reported: We're running in to a case that's very similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/dhcp/+bug/1872118 where the DHCP server periodically crashes. Crashes sometimes take days to happen on relatively busy DHCP servers. There's not an obvious reason, however the logs end up showing (hostnames and email address changed slightly to keep meaning, but not disclose everything). Re: [Bug 1902767] Re: do-release-upgrade exits with "An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade"
Thanks. I eventually removed enough packages from the system to allow the upgrade to work. It was a long time ago so I don't remember the details anymore and I think I threw out my notes. [Bug 1928392] Re: add newer Ubuntu releases to lintian for older Ubuntu releases
Hello Brian, or anyone else affected, Accepted lintian into hirsute-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lintian/2.104.0ubuntu2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed- hirsute to verification-done-hirsute. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-hirsute. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping! N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days. ** Changed in: lintian (Ubuntu Hirsute) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed verification-needed-hirsute -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1928392 Title: add newer Ubuntu releases to lintian for older Ubuntu releases To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lintian/+bug/1928392/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
