[Bug 1939853] Re: mysqli: Using a cursor with get_result() and prepared statements causes a segmentation fault
Performing verification for Focal. I installed php7.4 and php7.4-mysql from -updates, version 7.4.3-4ubuntu2.5. [Bug 1942276] Re: docker 20.10.7-0ubuntu2 fails to start when installed inside Impish LXD container
Investigating a bit more, here's what we see when we check the status of docker.socket: # systemctl status docker.socket × docker.socket - Docker Socket for the API Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/docker.socket; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2021-09-01 02:05:47 UTC; 14s ago Triggers: ● docker.service Listen: /run/docker.sock (Stream) Sep 01 02:05:47 test-docker systemd[1]: Starting Docker Socket for the API. Sep 01 02:05:47 test-docker systemd[2488]: docker.socket: Failed to resolve group docker: No such process Sep 01 02:05:47 test-docker systemd[1]: docker.socket: Control process exited, code=exited, status=216/GROUP Sep 01 02:05:47 test-docker systemd[1]: docker.socket: Failed with result 'exit-code'. Sep 01 02:05:47 test-docker systemd[1]: Failed to listen on Docker Socket for the API. What caught my attention is the following line: Sep 01 02:05:47 test-docker systemd[2488]: docker.socket: Failed to resolve group docker: No such process It doesn't make sense to me. As can be seen in the bug description, the "docker" group was properly created *before* the service/socket was (tentatively) started. If we inspect the socket, we see that its group is indeed wrong (it should be "docker", but it's "root"): # ls -la /var/run/docker.sock srw-rw 1 root root 0 Sep 1 02:05 /var/run/docker.sock What's strange is that systemd should be responsible for changing the ownership of the socket when the service is started, but it can't (because it fails to "resolve" the "docker" group). strace wasn't very helpful to determine what's going on here. It's also interesting to note that I can't reproduce the problem with docker.io 20.10.7-0ubuntu1 (from impish-release). The installation finishes just fine. I noticed that the last upload was about shipping libnetwork into the golang-github-docker-docker-dev package. Initially I don't see how this could have impacted the docker installation here. Maybe libnetwork is messing with the socket creation somehow? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942276 Title: docker 20.10.7-0ubuntu2 fails to start when installed inside Impish LXD container To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/docker.io/+bug/1942276/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1942256] [NEW] Custom keyboard shortcuts for tiling ignored after (re)boot
Public bug reported: version 4.16.1 (revision 5f61a84ad) (Xubuntu 21.10) Steps to reproduce: Open Window Manager settings in settings "app" Go to keyboard Change shortcut for "tile window to the right" to super+d / "to the left" super+a / "to the bottom" super+x Check if it accepted it (should work) reboot Try again In my case the shortcut stops working but it still is shown in the settings "app". The actual shortcut is reverted to super+right / super+left / super+down. Also when pressing super+$key it treats it like just the $key being pressed (e.g. in a terminal it inserts an a on super+a) Some shortcuts stick like super+s for "Maximize window" or super+w for "Tile Window to the top". After setting the shortcuts anew they work until the next (re)boot. I haven't tried how it is with just logout login. ** Affects: xfwm4 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942256 Title: Custom keyboard shortcuts for tiling ignored after (re)boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfwm4/+bug/1942256/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Tim, We are running Ubuntu 18.04 with the 5.3.0-1030-aws kernel because that is the last Ubuntu provided AMI (ubuntu- bionic-18.04-amd64-server-20200716) that does not contain this kernel bug. Nice reference Seth. Thx! @netuser, would you be able to provide `sudo ua status --format=json` and also /var/log/ubuntu-advantage.log on this system. [Bug 1942246] [NEW] Option to change WiFi options not available after first typing it
Public bug reported: This is for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. When I use the GUI to connect to WiFi (hidden network where the SSID is not broadcast or when the WiFi allows only devices with recognized MAC addresses to connect), I enter the name of the WiFi and the password and click ok to connect. It tries to connect and then says it could not connect. Now I want to try a different password, but the password field is un-editable. The GUI only allows me to try connecting to WiFi again. It doesn't allow changing the details for that particular WiFi connection. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942246 Title: Option to change WiFi options not available after first typing it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1942246/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1942245] [NEW] Option to change login screen color missing
Public bug reported: This is for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Not everyone likes the pink/purple colors of Ubuntu. We'd prefer to change it to grey/blue shades. But those options do not appear to be available now, as mentioned here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1227070/how-do-i-change-login-screen- theme-or-background-in-ubuntu-20-04 Apart from login screen, there are a lot of other settings which need to be provided via the default GUI settings in Ubuntu, instead of expecting us to open up the /etc/default/grub file or installing gnome-tweaks. Some of these are: 1. The Ubuntu login screen color. 2. Grub timeout countdown and grub menu options order. 3. Ubuntu splash screen switched off during startup and shutdown. 4. Ubuntu firewall (ufw) being pre-installed and active. 5. GUI close button, maximise and minimize buttons being on the left side instead of right. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942245 Title: Option to change login screen color missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1942245/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
