Public bug reported: Having a hard time upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04. First a missing libc6 that stopped the upgrade after a few minutes, which I then fixed according to askubuntu.com/questions/21987 (basically using Live CD to copy the missing library), then, after restarting the upgrade with apt- get dist-upgrade, everything looked good for a long time, but then the above error regarding udftools. Was able to restart system without Live CD, but am getting a lot of errors and crashes of certain programs (I have clicked yes when asked to report so you should be getting everything). I have this bug, too. Performed a dist-upgrade a few days after the 11.10 release, did not change anything otherwise. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/837246 Title: User name shown as [Invalid UTF-8] in live session To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-session/+bug/837246/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 367170] [NEW] tracker / odt2txt get stuck when OpenOffice file has German special character
Public bug reported: Updated to jaunty a few days ago, noticed that tracker / odt2txt got stuck (high CPU load) while odt2txt is processing a OpenOffice.org Calc file that contains the german letter ß (this character looks like the greek beta). Get an error message that tracker cannot create index. When removing this letter from the file, everything is ok. Can also reproduce this by applying odt2txt --raw to the file directly, output stops just after the character. Is this a locale issue? Other german characters (ü = u umlaut etc.) are ok. Tracker does not seem to handle this odt2txt problem elegantly. Am attaching a file that can reproduce this problem. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- tracker / odt2txt get stuck when OpenOffice file has German special character https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367170 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
