Hi, thanks for the reply. I now understand the licensing constraints. Still, you should be aware that passing --enable-libopenaptx alone appears to have no effect -- the configure logic that checks it is all gated behind other flags. [Bug 1918017] Re: ksh93 problems
Highly recommend that the action proposed in #2 is taken. (If I understand it correctly). In my opinion: The 2020 version has nothing to do as main package for ksh, and absolutely not in an LTS release. As for the bug experienced by OP it is ugly. The history loading is botched and have several bugs. When history reaches a limit of N bytes it does no longer write to history file. It then opens a new file descriptor to the history file for each command. On for example Linux this can give something like: $ find /proc/PID-of-ksh/fd -lname '*/.sh_history' | wc -l 746 (Opinion on the 2020 project) Sure there was honest intentions to make it better, but from the looks of things there was very little understanding and respect in the mix. It seemed more important to paint Korn as a crazy spaghetti coder who obfuscate with intent – then understanding the code. Think that is sad. ** Summary changed: - ksh93 problems + ksh93 problems (ksh 2020) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918017 Title: ksh93 problems (ksh 2020) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ksh/+bug/1918017/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1573345] Re: Dual monitor loses settings after screen sleep
This is totally happening for me since a long while now. It was there in 17.x , it is there in 18.04 beta. No matter if we use KDE or Cinnamon. No matter if we use noveau or NVIDIA drivers. I have 2 monitors for my desktop, a big one in front and a smaller one on the left. The big one is supposed to be the main desktop screen. Once the screen saver timer kicks in to turn off the monitors, the big one never comes back to life after entering the password (can only enter it on the secondary-left side monitor). [Bug 1440294] Re: syncevolution - no export of tasks / memos Aquaris E4.5
This also affects contacts on Ubuntu Phone using baikal. Synchronization works fine with Thunderbird an SoGO. But changes do not appear on the Phone. Also changes are made on the phone won't be visible on baikal or Thunderbird. Even if database of Ubuntu Phone is empty and doing a first complete synchronization not all contacts will appear on the handset. But deleting an item on Thunderbird and doing a synchonization with the handset will bring the item back to thunderbird. [Bug 1043011] Re: Purchasing a game in software center results in a SSL handshake error
I have the same issue when attempting to pay with my card. The URL I see is not for Chase, it's different: "Unable to load page" "Problem occurred while loading the URL https://www.securesuite.net/elan/tdsecure/pa.jsp?partner=724260&VAA=B"; "SSL handshake failed" Might this be related to 3rd party bank verification processes? Such as when an online purchase is made, should the Ubuntu Software Center be displaying a page to us that lets us confirm the charge is valid? Additionally, when I select the PayPal option, the lower card entry field collapses to just the PayPal header without any login screen. If I press Review Order at this point, I get a greyed screen. It looks as if a dialogue box should appear, but nothing happens even after waiting more than a minute. The loading icon stops right after displaying the grey screen. Running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit, with no proxies set (and set to systemwide, as advised in other threads). I've also tried the nightly build to see if it makes a difference. [Bug 730554] [NEW] nm-applet conumes too much memory
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: software-center nm-applet if let a long time on, consumes too much memory, from my point of view. I'm using Maverick completely updated to 6 march 2011. Also, sometimes happens that nm-applet shows a wifi network and doesn't connect to it after clicking on network name. I think both problems are correlated. The cause can be non proper management of weak signal wifi networks. [Bug 561210] Re: Writing big files to NFS target causes system lock up
The large size file transfer mentioned in the original posting sounds like the problem I'm having, too, but I'm not using NFS, I'm using an mdadm RAID1 setup. When a large file is copied, only the dpkg/apt/synaptic packages run slowly. The rest of the system seems to function well, including text terminals, gdm, and file transfers within and between non-RAID drives. I do not remember having this problem with any other Ubuntu flavors and versions. It started when I setup RAID. If I remove the RAID, or do not transfer large files when running the package programs, it does not seem to cause problems. [Bug 643613] [NEW] ia32 packages missing on amd64
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lsb In a nutshell, this doesn't work on a 64-bit system: # apt-get install lsb-graphics-ia32 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Couldn't find package lsb-graphics-ia32 ia32-libs satisfies most (all?) dependencies, so that's a workaround. Proper LSB packages are still desirable though as that means that you can give the same instructions to users regardless of their system's arch, and lsb_release will be able to properly report support for graphics-ia32 even on 64-bit systems. I tested this on Ubunut 10.04, but from what I can tell this has been the same for all releases. ** Affects: lsb (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ia32 packages missing on amd64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/643613 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 181900] Re: Evolution-Exchange does not really sync with exchange server
Hi again, I've read an old entry that indicated: " The solve for me: delete the cache folder... set in folder properties: - local sync NO - apply filters NO " Well, I've done these steps and now I can see all my sent items in my evolution. Before of doing these steps I closed evolution with next sentence: "evolution --force-shutdown" When I activated the apply filters I noticed that they didn't work properly but I just ignored it and I forgot to delete them.
