[Bug 337468] Re: Cannot move panels in dual-head non-compiz gnome desktop

2009-04-19 Thread Adrian Godoy
I can confirm on Jaunty. The alt key does not work. Current workaround:
1. Right click on panel you want to move.
2. Select Properties.
3.Un-click the expand box.
4. Move panel to where you want it.
5. click the expand box
That should do it for now.

Issue disappeared after upgrade to Pidgin 2.5.2. Issue was not
reproducible after a specific trigger. Hopefully it was just something
particular to my system.

2008-11-09 Thread Adrian Godoy
Well It has been almost a month since I upgraded to Pidgin 2.5.1 and now
im running 2.5.2. The problem has not reoccurred. I have also upgraded
to 8.10. The mystery will remain for somebody else to discover, if it
has not been fixed yet.

I expected to get an IM window so I can continue my conversation.

What actually happens is, you notice a sluggishness on the mouse cursor, you
start to hear the HDD spin from the memory swapping. I run conky and I can
monitor my top 3 CPU and RAM hogs as well as percentage of ram used. Pidgin
goes to the top on both CPU usage and RAM usage. My 4 Gigs of RAM are maxed
out in a matter of seconds... slowly but surely the computer comes to a halt.
This was happening several times, and I noticed that the common factor was me
getting an IM that I did not initiate. Oh, and the IM window never makes it
 to the screen.

Re: [Bug 282502] Re: pidgin memory leak

2008-10-12 Thread Adrian Godoy
I am actually running it on the debug window right now. I was running
it in debug mode when it crashed. I did not post the file because it
has a lot of personal information. Any suggestions on how to strip
that out?

On Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 1:19 AM, surfed [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
Could you run pidgin with the --debug option? Better even, start
 pidgin like this:

 pidgin --debug debug

This will write all debug messages from pidgin to the file debug in the
 directory where you executed pidgin.
After your box crashes post relevant part of debug here.

[Bug 207312] Re: PulseAudio Sound Server: Failed to connect: Connection refused

2008-10-11 Thread Adrian Godoy
I am using Ubuntu 8.04 on a x64 architecture. I get sound no problem. My
computer freezes when I am watching a video. After inspection of the
/var/log/messages file I see that everytime it happens the last messages were:
pulseaudio[6964]: pstream.c: Failed to import memory block.

I will keep an eye on this one so we can get it fixed.

[Bug 51866] Re: GRUB splashes doesn't work in Dapper

2008-09-30 Thread Adrian Godoy
Issue persists in Hardy. Package involved: grub-splashimages.
1. I renamed one of the files to splash.xpm.gz
2. Moved the file to /boot
3. Ran update-grub:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/boot# update-grub
Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub
Searching for default file ... found: /boot/grub/default
Testing for an existing GRUB menu.lst file ... found: /boot/grub/menu.lst
Searching for splash image ... found but preserving previous setting:
splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/splash.xpm.gz
Found kernel: /vmlinuz-2.6.24-19-generic
Found kernel: /memtest86+.bin
Updating /boot/grub/menu.lst ... done
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/boot#

That is pretty much where I am at. I tried to display the images under
the grub prompt as indicated a couple comments ago. It seems like my
version of grub does not have splashimage in it because after I mount
the partition with the command root (hd0,0) and try to enter the
splashimage command I get an error 27.

grub root (hd0,0)
root (hd0,0)
grub splashimage /boot/splash.xpm.gz
splashimage /boot/splash.xpm.gz

Error 27: Unrecognized command
grub

I tried placing the file in /boot/grub with the same results.

Let me know if you need extra information.
