[Bug 742679] Re: No Double Right Pointing Triangle and Bar Icon for "Play the next item"
I upgraded ubuntu 11.04 this afternoon. In Banshee 2.0 (2.0.0), the problem seems to be only the lack of a "Shuffle" icon and an inappropriate drop down menu for the "Play the next item" drop down arrowhead. Specifically: o The "Play next item" icon correctly plays the next item. o There is no crossed curved arrows icon for "Shuffle". o However, the drop down arrowhead on the "Play the next item" button offers 6 "Shuffle" choices. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/742679 Title: No Double Right Pointing Triangle and Bar Icon for "Play the next item" -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 750584] Re: banshee says it is playing one song while it is actually playing another
I noticed the problem yesterday when I was in the "Unheard" section of the "Music" Library. Today, I clicked on a song in the "Recently Added" section of the "Music" Library, clicked on the "Play" icon, and it played that song and displayed the correct time for that song under the slider near the top left of the window, but the information to the right of the slider and in the title bar was for a different song by a different artist, from a different album. [Bug 446790] Re: [Dell Inspiron 1545] - Suspend and Hibernate menu selections only start the screen saver.
apport information ** Description changed: Suspend and Hibernate menu selections in the menu that drops down from the user name in upper right corner when it is left clicked only start the screen saver on a Dell Inspiron 1545n running Karmic Koala beta that was updated around 6 PM 8-Oct-09 in Eastern USA. They do not suspend or hibernate the laptop. I do not know other ways to invoke Suspend or Hibernate. [Bug 446790] Re: [Dell Inspiron 1545] - Suspend and Hibernate menu selections only start the screen saver.
Since I have never tried to install a new kernel version other than as part of a new version of Ubuntu, it may not be worth trying to guide me through the process. Nevertheless, following is what I have done so far. 1. I downloaded linux-image-2.6.32-020632-generic_2.6.32-020632_i386.deb from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.32/. 2. When I opened linux-image-2.6.32-020632-generic_2.6.32-020632_i386.deb with GDebi Package Installer, the Description ended with: "You likely do not want to install this package directly. Instead, install the linux-generic meta-package, which will ensure that upgrades work correctly, and that supporting packages are also installed." 3. When I searched in Synaptic Package Manager for linux-generic meta-package, I did not see anything that seemed appropriate for version 2.6.32, which was not a surprise since that version is new. I do not know how to proceed. -- [Dell Inspiron 1545] - Suspend and Hibernate menu selections only start the screen saver. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446790 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 483335] Re: Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing
Pedro, I entered rhythmbox -D lastfm &> rhythmbox-debug.txt in Terminal and performed the actions to reproduce the bug in the Music Player window. Since I could not find a file named rhythmbox-debug.txt, I copied and pasted the contents of the Terminal window to a file with that name and attached it to this comment. [Bug 483335] [NEW] Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Rhythmbox 0.12.5 in Ubuntu 9.10, Karmic Koala, on a Dell Inspiron 1545n displays an error message such as the following every time it tries to restart playback of Last.fm after stopping playback of Last.fm. 'Couldn't start playback "http://play.last.fm/user/7add...de632.mp3": Forbidden'. I expected it to restart playback of Last.fm rather than display the error message above. The source package is "rhythmbox". The installed version is "0.12.5-0ubuntu5". I work around this problem by quiting the "Music Player" icon at the top of the screen and restarting "Rhythmbox". Only closing the "Music Player" window and restarting "Rhythmbox" is not sufficient, since clicking on the "Play" icon for Last.fm gets the error message above. The first time Rhythmbox tries to restart playback of Last.fm after stopping playback of Last.fm, it also displays the following error message. "Search for suitable plugin? The required software to play this file is not installed. You need to install suitable plugins to play media files. Do you want to search for a plugin that supports the selected file? The search will also include software which is not officially supported." Running the search results in the following window. "No packages with the requested plugins found. The requested plugins are: text/html decoder". ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox 0.12.5 cannot start playback of Last.fm after pausing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483335 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Africanus, I have never had a problem crashing. However, I am still not able to connect to my network wirelessly. [Bug 442416] Re: Upgrade to Karmic from Jaunty fails
Last night, my experience was similar to this bug description. Early this afternoon, I saw a work around in a comment on this bug, which I do not see now. I think that work around involved a command to ignore openoffice.org-filter-binfilter, but I do not remember it. After running that work around in Applications, Accessories, Terminal, I ran System, Administration, Synaptic Package Manager, Reload, Mark All Upgrades, Apply, which downloaded megabytes of apparently upgraded files, and reported another error, for which Google did not find any reference. A few minutes later, System, Administration, Synaptic Package Manager, Reload, Mark All Upgrades, Apply, which downloaded megabytes of apparently upgraded files, succeeded in installing release 9.10, Karmic Koala. -- Upgrade to Karmic from Jaunty fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442416 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
