After updating these packages with the proposed packages, it seems to
resolve the issue:

19.0.1-1ubuntu1~18.04.1

1:19.0.1-1ubuntu1~18.04.1
and
xserver-xorg-video-radeon-hwe-18.04:amd64 from 1:19.0.1-0ubuntu1~18.04.1 to

Has this been rolled out to WIly? This seems to still be reproducible
with the proprietary nvidia drivers and 15.10.

[Bug 782359] Re: Cambridge Silicon Radio Bluetooth Dongle does not recognize other devices

2012-04-12 Thread Alexander Hall
Issue still prevalent with internal Bluetooth. Improved bug summary, and
added additional details about the bug.

** Description changed:

- This is on Ubuntu 11.04. The system does recognize that a bluetooth
- module is installed, but is unable to see visable bluetooth devices.
- Because of this, it is impossible to actually pair anything with the
- machine. This is a HP Mini 110-3000 CTO.
+ This is a HP Mini 110-3000 CTO (Running currently 12.04, previously
+ 11.04). The system does recognize the internal bluetooth module is
+ installed, but is unable to see visable bluetooth devices. Because of
+ this, it is impossible to actually pair anything with the machine (using
+ the built in dongle). External bluetooth USB adapters have no issue with
+ the netbook. The adapter is recognized via lsusb as:
+
+ Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth
+ Dongle (HCI mode)
+
+ The first three groups of the mac address are 74:F0:6D. This set of mac
addresses is registered to this company:

+ Xindian City, Taipei County. 231
+ TAIWAN, REPUBLIC OF CHINA
+ http://hwaddress.com/mac/74F06D-00.html
+
+ Based on this information, I believe that this Bluetooth chip is

[Bug 975222] Re: ath3k bluetooth adapter cannot load firmware

2012-04-09 Thread Alexander Hall
Based on information from the debian bug report, the kernel (ubuntu or
mainline) doesn't matter. It's tied to udev rules implemented by the
package libmtp-runtime. I removed the package, and the bluetooth
adapter works properly on boot.

I've also removed the linux kernel from the bug, because is not the

[Bug 944772] Re: shutdown does not work

2012-04-08 Thread Alexander Hall
I hate to add another comment, but the issues I mentioned in #97 and
#96. The kernel panic/oops is related to the NVIDIA proprietary drivers
(I did install x-edgers ppa, that did not help), not the kernel (both
3.3.1 and 3.4.0 RC2 boot without the drivers).

** Description changed:

This is on Ubuntu 11.04. The system does recognize that a bluetooth
module is installed, but is unable to see visable bluetooth devices.
Because of this, it is impossible to actually pair anything with the
machine. This is a HP Mini 110-3000 CTO.

[Bug 975222] Re: ath3k bluetooth adapter cannot load firmware

2012-04-06 Thread Alexander Hall
I have had the issue since I bought the BT adapter, on Ubuntu 11.10. The
linux-firmware package 1.75 (pushed as a result of this bug posting:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/714862). I am not aware of a
kernel version not having this problem (on my primary laptop). The odd
thing is that this bt adapter works without the -110 error on another
computer (HP 110-3000 netbook).

Rebooting does not resolve the issue (on this laptop). My other laptop
(a netbook) works fine as a result of the fix released with 1.75.

Tim,

Then why in your patch change notes you state Support for 4965 is still
contained in the iwlagn driver even though considered a legacy device.
Intel affirms 802.11n should work.?

Thanks,

Alex

[Bug 630748] Re: iwlagn degrades quickly during normal wifi session

2011-03-22 Thread Alexander Hall
Just wanted to add that intel will not be fixing this issue for legacy
devices, including the 4965agn:

In reference to the splitting of the iwlagn driver with a legacy branch, will
the 4965agn get a similar fix. These network cards have similar issues,
including the Received BA when not expected errors.

It will be very difficult to add the same firmware fix for legacy devices
including 4965. I am really sorry about it.

Thanks
Wey
