[Bug 214909] Re: radeonhd driver does not support changing panel brightness
For me on a ThindPad T60 (with the X1400 chip), suspend/resume doesn't work with the -ati driver, so I have to use the radeonhd driver to get widescreen resolutions. Switching to console using radeonhd doesn't work for me, just displays a screen with what seems to be vertical and horizontal lines being added at a very fast pace at random locations. [Bug 45404] Re: thinkpad-keys on ThinkPad X60* uses a large amount of CPU
I have a T60 and run Kubuntu. I used to see 2% CPU. I changed some settings on my system and it went off mostly after I disabled arts in the kcontrol center (Enable sound system - uncheck), though I'm not entirely sure if it was arts. However, if I compile a newer kernel and install it, it thinkpad-keys shows up at 2%. The stock kernels from the kubuntu repo (currently 2.6.20-16-generic) doesn't have this problem for me. -- thinkpad-keys on ThinkPad X60* uses a large amount of CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/45404 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 31709] Re: k3b slow dvd burn speed
I too experience this on a ThinkPad T60. I'm running Kubuntu Feisty with the kernel that came with Feisty and KDE 3.5.7 from the archives. [Bug 124164] Network aliases defined don't come up upon resume from suspend/hibernate
Public bug reported: I've defined an alias for eth0, called eth0:0 in /etc/network/interfaces like this: auto eth0:0 iface eth0:0 inet static address 192.168.1.6 netmask 255.255.255.0 This interface doesn't come up after resume from suspend or hibernate. [Bug 112013] Fonts not visible for GTK applications
Public bug reported: I was running Edgy and have recently upgraded to Feisty. This problem was in Edgy as well. Fonts aren't rendered for any GTK apps in Kubuntu. I have tried with audacity and ardour as examples. openoffice.org shows up properly, but that could be due to the QT interface. The icons in openoffice.org aren't in proper colours, though. They're all against a green background. I'll attach images to this BR. This could possibly have happened after the font path change from /usr/share/X11/fonts to /usr/X11/share/fonts. However, changing the entries in xorg.conf didn't help. [Bug 53537] Partition numbers wrong in step 5 of graphical installer
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: base-installer I have a hard disk that had kubuntu breezy installed. I had several partitions, with /, /home/, /boot, swap being hda8, hda9, hda7, hda10 respectively. When I chose to delete / and reformat it, the installer showed partition numbers that were different from the output of what fdisk -l shows. To complicate matters further, on pressing 'continue' on that screen shows the partitions, whether we want to format them, and the label -- this screen shows the partition numbers that are consistent with fdisk output. I would say this is a grave bug, as users might choose incorrect partitions because of the inconsistencies in the two pages that show the partitions. ** Affects: base-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Partition numbers wrong in step 5 of graphical installer https://launchpad.net/bugs/53537 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
