[Bug 280571] Re: NetworkManager does not auto-connect to VPNs marked Connect Automatically
Still a BUG (not wishlist). On Windows I could leave my computer on over nights running torrents over VPN. If it failed it would reconnect as soon as it could. If I leave Ubuntu to do this task I will wake up in the morning and it might have uploaded/downloaded 100kb of data during that whole night. Windows got Ubuntu beat by a mile in VPN-handling. [Bug 873058] Re: Jockey fails to install binary ati driver (post release) version
Lots of confirmation in the comments from AMD/ATI-users. [Bug 873058] Re: Jockey fails to install binary ati driver (post release) version
Still no patch. We are stuck on old crappy video-drivers when there are smooth and shiny new ones out there. How sad. It can be worked around by manually installing the Catalyst-drivers I guess, but that is a real hassle for a newbie! Here are my jockey logs. ** Attachment added: jockey.log ATI post release doesn't install 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-common/+bug/873058/+attachment/3225974/+files/jockey.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873058 Title: Jockey fails to install binary ati driver (post release) version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fglrx/+bug/873058/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 873058] Re: Jockey fails to install binary ati driver (post release) version
BTW, isn't this bug in the wrong place now? Nvidia problems are fixed, aren't they? [Bug 509643] Re: Metadata updating failed when trying to update ID3 tags on mp3 files
Stil a bug. Some songs one can change the info for, some songs you can't. My gutfeeling says it's related to id3v1 / id3v2 conflict. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509643 Title: Metadata updating failed when trying to update ID3 tags on mp3 files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacious/+bug/509643/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 772535] Re: Keyboard layout chooser freezes during ubuntu installation
Just want to +1 this bug so it is confirmed it is a real problem. Installed Ubuntu 11.04 64bit on my new laptop today and ran into this. The mousepointer was just spinning and spinning and I couldn't select either back or forward to get away from the screen. Luckily I was at home and could look up this bug on my stationary computer. Turned of the laptop, restarted and it tried to boot on my HD instead of my Ubuntu-install-USB. This made the computer hang with a cursor blinking in the upper left corner. I had to enter the BIOS and rearrange the boot-order to get the installation going again, this time avoiding the keyboard and only using the touchpad to navigate. Install completed ok after that. It's not a MAJOR bug, but I hope it's a quick little thing to fix. People shouldn't need to go into BIOS and muck around. It's just not perfectly userfriendly ;-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772535 Title: Keyboard layout chooser freezes during ubuntu installation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/772535/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
