Hi, Can I add my support to this bug report? The cvs version, especially if it is patched with Thomas Wiegner's patches, as suggested in Troy's page, is _very_ stable. Thomas has gone so far as to produce a couple of packages of slrn for Ubuntu: http://www.foory.de/thw/slrn/packages/ and I am sure would be flattered to see his work included in a future Ubuntu distro, although of course I cannot speak for him :-) Andrew -- slrn does not support utf8 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130111 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 140837] Re: oggenc does not deal with 'large' files
Back again! I installed Feisty on a spare HDD and I note that the Feisty oggenc has large file support. Looks like only Dapper and ?Edgy miss out. [Bug 140837] oggenc does not deal with 'large' files
Public bug reported: Hi, I am running Ubuntu Dapper with the repository version of the vorbis- tools package. The problem is with oggenc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ oggenc -version OggEnc v1.0.2 oggenc will not encode a file bigger than 2 gigs. Error message is: "File is too big". A patch exists to get around this and has apparently been implemented in Debian. Details from xiph: https://trac.xiph.org/browser/trunk/vorbis-tools https://trac.xiph.org/ticket/879 Can this patch be implemented in the repository for Dapper and others? [Bug 114931] Re: Unable to copy Audio CD using Nautilus
Hi again, In a fit of rage I wiped Feisty and did a clean install of Dapper. Now every aspect of burning works flawlessly. Myself, I will now remain with an LTS release until the next one comes out. [Bug 114931] Unable to copy Audio CD using Nautilus
Public bug reported: Hi, I am unable to utilise the 'Copy Disc... function for audio cds using Places ... Computer ... (Right Click on CD Icon) ... Copy Disc ... This in Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. The software goes through a long period (about 30 minutes) of creating a file image and then an equally long period of copying to a blank CD. This CD is unplayable on all CD players and the disc itself will not mount on my Ubuntu system. I am using: # LG GSA-H42N DVD Burner # Nautilus 2.18.1 # Kernel 2.6.20-15-generic Exactly the same results using GnomeBaker 0.6.0. The drive plays DVDs flawlessly, writes and rewrites to CDRW discs without fail. I have captured some of the output from GnomeBaker while copying a Data Disc, many minutes of the following: 12 (Cannot allocate memory), read_g1 scsi sendcmd: no error CDB: 28 00 00 00 17 80 00 00 80 00 status: 0x0 (GOOD STATUS) cmd finished after 0.000s timeout 40s readom: Cannot allocate memory.
