[Bug 1841746] Re: Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login
ubuntustudio-performance-tweaks wasn't installed until Erich suggested it earlier, so I don't think it was causing the problem. I don't have jack or cadence auto starting. I'm not sure where else to look. I think the hardest thing in diagnosing this is that sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. I have another computer which I'll eventually reisntall everything and hopefully I'll know more -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1841746 Title: Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntustudio-meta/+bug/1841746/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1841746] Re: Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login
I'd addressed Len's answer with this: "I had installed jack just before I installed these packages and so the option to fix real time permissions wasn't available." To add to this, I have run ubuntustudio-controls and I can't see an option to "FIX Real Time Permissions", possibly because I had installed Jack before I had installed ubuntustudio-audio. I don't want the lowlatency kernel and so won't be installing it, and it seems like it's optional. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1841746 Title: Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntustudio-meta/+bug/1841746/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1841746] Re: Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login
ubuntustudio-controls and ubuntustudio-audio-core were automatically installed when I installed ubuntustudio-audio. I had to manually install ubuntustudio-audio-performance-tweaks. I had installed jack just before I installed these packages and so the option to fix real time permissions wasn't available. [Bug 1841746] [NEW] Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login
Public bug reported: I'm on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 19.04 and have installed the ubuntustudio-audio package. Occasionally when I restart it will hang when I log in to my user account. The mouse can still be moved etc but the desktop never loads. I'm using a Dell XPS 13. ** Affects: ubuntustudio-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1841746 Title: Installing ubntustudio-audio causes hang at login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntustudio-meta/+bug/1841746/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1839182] [NEW] Error: divie by zero
Public bug reported: I'm trying to install some ubuntustudio packages (low latency kernel and settings) on top of Ubuntu 19.04 using the ubuntustudio-installer gui. At a certain point the installer crashes and reports the following error: divide by zero divide by zero while executing "expr 300 + (200 / $nofl * $pct)" (procedure "pctunpk" line 2) invoked from within "pctunpk $unpk $getcnt" (procedure "install" line 75) invoked from within "install" invoked from within ".install invoke" ("uplevel" body line 1) invoked from within "uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]" (procedure "tk::ButtonUp" line 22) invoked from within "tk::ButtonUp .install" (command bound to event) I've tried installing the same packages on a Dell XPS 13 and Dell XPS 15 and they both hang at different moments during the installer, but both whilst trying to unpack packages. On one computer it stalled when installing the lowlatency kernel and on the other it stalled when installing a different package but unfortunately I didn't note down which one. After about 20 minutes of waiting for the progress bar to complete (it didn't) I restarted my computer and everything appears to be working but I have no way to be sure. [Bug 1045790] Re: Rendering error on OCAL website
@Jakub I've updated the description with the original SVG and steps to reproduce the errors. Additionally, I've linked to a bug report for rsvg where the developers admit that this display error is due to a bug in the renderer and not the SVG. Therefore, this SVG is not bad. Doing outset and inset doesn't fix the SVG as it modifies the path. For example,. the Ireland map is 2718 nodes. After doing an outset and inset the number of nodes is 273 nodes. It results in a smaller file size but it is no longer the same as the original. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1045790 Title: Rendering error on OCAL website To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/librsvg/+bug/1045790/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm using the latest graphics driver as downloaded from the ati website (10.6) (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx) and compiz 0.8.6 from their ppa (https://launchpad.net/~compiz/+archive/ppa) and, when using gtk-recordmydesktop it now works perfectly.
