[Bug 1872984] Re: RTL8822BE [10ec:b822] network driver rtl_wifi crashes on boot in Focal Fossa 20.04 - 5.4.0-21-generic and mainline 5.7.0-050700rc1-generic

2020-09-23 Thread BATIKAN BORA ORMANCI
I was on kernel version 5.4.0.47-generic and was using the rtl8822be
repo of mid-kid on github. I didn't even need to boot on windoes first
to get wifi working, it was all fine, however when I updated to
5.4.0.48-generic that one stopped working, therefore I tried installing
the kernel above (5.9.0-rc1+) and I couldn't even boot to ubuntu. Now
I've returned to my working 5.4.0.47-generic and I'll stay so, here is
the reason why I couldn't boot into ubuntu

The problem is being caused by faulty memory. I scanned the memory with
a memory test tools. I've found a memory card is defective and replaced
with a new one. Problem solved.

[Bug 955624] Re: md5sum command calculate different code for the same file

2012-03-21 Thread Birol Bora
Thank you Jim,

I check openssl md5 v1.img command , everytime i see different checksums.
I remove Ubuntu OS, install another stable Linux Distribution with partition
again default install options but problem still continues.

md5sum works well, if file size less then 256 MB.

I think the Corsair Force 3 SSD 60 GB(Firmware 1.3) is causing the problem or
SSD partition alignment problem.
How to make SSD compatible stable partition aligment ?
How to solve problem ?

Another way to do upgrade system without removing xubuntu and etc. is
libsdl1.2debian-all installation.

sudo aptitude install libsdl1.2debian-all
