I notice that the problem happens because LibreOffice shows splash window first. And I can suggest you some tricks to avoid this. Just add --nologo parameter into the application's run command (Exec=libreoffice --nologo ...) in each file named /usr/share/applications/libreoffice-*.desktop, and stop to keep launchers on Unity panel. Seems it's working fine on Oneric Ocelot. Today I used WPA encrypted Wi-Fi over two hours and nothing was corrupted.
