[Bug 1709442] [NEW] No systray icons for sync applications on 17.10

2017-08-08 Thread Carlos Estrada
Public bug reported:

The tray icons for applications should be accessible in the left bottom
corner of the screen on Gnome, according to what I saw in Ubuntu Gnome
17.04.

Now that I'm testing Ubuntu 17.10 I can't see how to access those icons.

I have Nextcloud client is installed form PPA:

nextcloud-client:
  Installed: 2.3.2-20170713.070732~artful1
  Candidate: 2.3.2-20170713.070732~artful1
  Version table:
 *** 2.3.2-20170713.070732~artful1 500
500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/nextcloud-devs/client/ubuntu artful/main
amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

And Dropbox from their web page:

dropbox:
  Installed: 2015.10.28
  Candidate: 2015.10.28
  Version table:
 *** 2015.10.28 100
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I know that these are not official ubuntu packages, but what I'm
reporting is the lack of access to their icons in Gnome.

The applications are working. I can confirm that because I can open
Nextcloud Client window from "Activities", and I receive notifications
of both applications when there are file changes.

This is also happening in wayland and xorg.

Thank you.

The system language is "en".

When using the Software Updater it displays an error after it updates
the repositories. So, it's more than cosmetic.

Anyway, this was intended for the maintainers of the PPA. Maybe this is
not the place to report this bug?

[Bug 1662227] [NEW] Error with command "apt-get update" when using libreoffice PPA

2017-02-06 Thread Carlos Estrada
Public bug reported:

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

This error started to show after I upgraded LibreOffice form 5.2 to 5.3
with the LibreOffice PPA: ppa:libreoffice/ppa.

The thing is that everything is working fine. I can update/upgrade the
system, I can install packages, delete packages, etc. The problem is
just with the error.

I tried: "apt-get autoclean". "apt-get clean", "apt-get autoremove",
apt-get install -f", and a lot of other things and nothing removes that
ugly error.

If I remove all PPA packages and remove the PPA itself the error goes
away.

This has been reported in askubuntu.com:

Is this going to be fixed in xenial? or just yakkety? I'm more

[Bug 1165365] Re: indicator-session shows [invalid UTF-8]

2013-05-01 Thread Carlos Estrada
I am using English as language for the system (Menus and windows) and
Spanish (Nicaragua) as regional format (dates, currency, etc).

Maybe this configuration is part of the cause to this bug?? because I
dont see too many people being affected.

Thanks.

[Bug 1064962] Re: [SRU] Global menubar items do not work when opening a document directly from nautilus with no LibreOffice instance running

2012-11-22 Thread Carlos Estrada
I have just confirm that the bug still happens.

- Open a .odb file from nautilus.
- Menus work perfectly.
- Close LO Base.
- Open a .odt file from nautilus.
- Menus appear, but are useless.

I am not able to say when this happens and when it doesn't. I was just
lucky, but I'm certain that the bug is still there.

The bug continues after updating to the released fix. In Calc and Base
