[Bug 1584604] Re: Slow login to kde5 waiting on breeze splash

[Bug 1584604] Re: Slow login to kde5 waiting on ?networkmanager
Looking into my syslog, I get a whole lot of messages like this while loading KDE, but also after. Maybe that is related to the problem? org.kde.KScreen[1375] kscreen: Primary output changed from KScreen::Output(Id: 67 , Name: "eDP1" ) ( "eDP1" ) to KScreen::Output(Id: 67 , Name: "eDP1" ) ( "eDP1" ) It seems that kscreen is constantly resetting my screen with itself as the default output. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1584604 Title: Slow login to kde5 waiting on ?networkmanager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-nm/+bug/1584604/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1584466] [NEW] QGIS hijacks file type icons
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS qgis 2.8.6+dfsg-1build1 kwin 5.5.5-0ubuntu1 QGIS changes the default file type icons e.g. for JPEG, TIF and possibly a few others (whatever file types QGIS can open, I suppose) to its own .qgs file type icon. In current Kubuntu, manually changing the file type icons back to the system's default through the file type editor proved ineffective when I tried it multiple times – it always gets reset to what QGIS specifies. This doesn't break QGIS's operability, it's just a minor annoyance as it feels like somewhat of an overreach. ** Affects: qgis (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1584466 Title: QGIS hijacks file type icons To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qgis/+bug/1584466/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Why is this still "Undecided" even after 8 months? It's basic functionality that is buggy as hell. I, for one, need stable wifi because the router is down the hall, and my flatmate's at that, and I won't put 10 m of network cable across the flat just because my wifi driver and the kernel won't talk. At university, I also can't just plug my laptop into a network socket everywhere :\ I'm seriously disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any motion to fix this very annoying issue so far. Changing my Ubuntu back to upstart and using a little script to switch wifi power management off on start helps to at least reduce the crashes to once a week or so and no wifi after resuming from standby, but this is just a workaround and not a real solution, especially since it just shifts problems elsewhere – I basically can't use standby. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408963 Title: [Xbuntu 14.04, 14.10 and 15.04] Network manager stops working: iwl3945 :03:00.0: BSM uCode verification failed at addr ...; wlan0: deauthenticating from... by local choice (Reason: 3=DEAUTH_LEAVING), To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1408963/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 448528] Re: When volume <= 15% the speakers/headphones are mute
With my USB speakers (Logitech V20) the speakers aren't only mute by ~10%, but also there's almost no range between "Unamplified" and "100%". At 100% the speakers overdrive.
