Public bug reported: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS qgis 2.8.6+dfsg-1build1 kwin 5.5.5-0ubuntu1
QGIS changes the default file type icons e.g. for JPEG, TIF and possibly a few others (whatever file types QGIS can open, I suppose) to its own .qgs file type icon. In current Kubuntu, manually changing the file type icons back to the system's default through the file type editor proved ineffective when I tried it multiple times – it always gets reset to what QGIS specifies. This doesn't break QGIS's operability, it's just a minor annoyance as it feels like somewhat of an overreach. ** Affects: qgis (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1584466 Title: QGIS hijacks file type icons To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qgis/+bug/1584466/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
