[Bug 683084] Re: Global menu doesn't work well with more than one screen
I've attached a branch which is pretty much a quick hack. [Bug 683084] Re: Global menu doesn't work well with more than one screen
Yes, it updates dynamically.. kind of. I have my WM set to resize opaquely, not using an outline or something, so when I resize my window then the application actually receives configure events and repaints the window. In this situation, if I raise or lower the top edge of the window then the local menubar will appear or disappear. If you're doing something that the WM has control of, this isn't quite the case. If you grab the titlebar of a window and start dragging it around, the client application never receives a configure event until you release the mouse. So if you drag your window above or below the threshold you won't see immediate visual feedback until you release your mouse. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/683084 Title: Global menu doesn't work well with more than one screen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 606470] Re: Monodevelop doesn't show its menu in the panel
Hi Dario, No, I am not working on this bug really.. because appmenu is mostly targeted towards netbook UI, monodevelop isn't a high priority for me to fix right now. I guess what needs to be figured out is to what extent they're still using gtk menu infrastructure and how much they're building on top of it. If too much of the data is kept at the managed layer, there's nothing we can do without modifying monodevelop. Once I find some more time (after higher priority bugs are fixed) then I can try taking a look at what information I can introspect from them on our side. / Cody -- Monodevelop doesn't show its menu in the panel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/606470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 614964] Re: Missing menus in Midori
I'm surprised you're seeing as many menus as you are. I'm seeing: File Edit View Go Help Dummy. I'm missing Bookmarks, Tools, and Window menuitems. And yes, I'm seeing Dummy as a menuitem I probably shouldn't be seeing, although that gives me access to all the menuitems that should be under Bookmarks, Tools, and Window. Midori is doing some unusual things that other apps aren't doing. The way it's building its dynamic menus is something that appmenu-gtk isn't able to catch right now. [Bug 538493] Re: When dragging slider, other menu items can mistakenly be activated on mouseup
This is actually in libido, not in indicator-sound. It's also probably not going to be an obvious one to fix. The problem is that we do some rather janky things in libido to work around the gtk grab system. The slider widget adds a grab when you mouse-down on the slider, but this also forces the menu to close which is why we work around it. We can look into adding more janky solutions, like trying to see if it's possible to stop the button release event on other menuitems in the menu. Another solution might be to create a GtkMenu derivative which doesn't close when a grab is added. I don't know off the top of my head what other side-effects we may have from this though. It could turn out to be more gross going that direction. -- When dragging slider, other menu items can mistakenly be activated on mouseup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/538493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
