Video stuttering in Totem, VLC and slightly better in MPV. This is playing
local mpeg (4K) files on Intel GPU at full screen via displayPort output.
nVidia GPU is unusable. Very disappointing.

A year ago, it was all ok.

[Bug 1022573] Re: Cant print to cd tray on 12.04

2012-10-23 Thread Craig100
I have a similar problem with gLabels. As of 12.04 gLabels will not
print to any printer I have. I have Cups 1.5.3 installed. Printers are:
Epson Stylus Photo PX710W and DYMO LabelWriter 400. Both will print a
test page from settings and both will print from Libre Office. However,
neither will print from gLabels 2.2.8. If the Epson is selected nothing
gets queued for printing. If the Dymo is selected I get: state: Stopped
Unable to open raster file - :Success but nothing happens at the
printer.

[Bug 272380] Re: thunderbird Get Mail does not work for all mailboxes

2010-07-21 Thread Craig100
Getting all mail is now a two click operation. Get All Mail should do
exactly what it says on the button, i.e. get ALL mail account's mail.

Using TB 3.0.5

[Bug 608270] [NEW] Cursor capture fails unless window clicked

2010-07-21 Thread Craig100
Public bug reported:

When attempting to click on an Ubuntu menu item after having worked in
either a VirtualBox window (V 3.2.6 r63112) or a Remote Desktop Session
via Terminal Server (tscClient 0.150) the menu item is highlighted but
does not expand. You have to click into the Ubuntu Desktop or an Ubuntu
application window first then click again on the menu item for it to
behave normally.

[Bug 493450] Re: Firefox slow - Opera fast - when several tabs open in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala 64-bit

2010-07-13 Thread Craig100
This happens on Ubuntu 10.4x64 and Firefox 3.6.6. The only way to
recover proper responsiveness is to disable Xmarks. Had it in previous
FF Ubuntu versions too. Another symptom is that the display of typed
characters pauses for about 6 or 7 seconds while you type, then it
catches up. It's VERY annoying.

This has only started happening in the last few days so I'm wondering if
it's due to an update.

My DNS is set to:-

# Generated by NetworkManager
nameserver 208.67.222.222
nameserver 208.68.220.220

This values are both set in my router AND manually in my Network Manager
set up.

I also have a similar problem with my laptop which is running Karmic on
the same network. The DNS is the same though the sources are slightly
different.

[Bug 574886] Re: Apt has strange network errors when updating indexes.

2010-05-21 Thread Craig100
Further top my last, I'm also having issues with Funambol synching in
Thunderbird 3. Basically, TB3 crashes as soon as Funambol accesses the
network. Could be another clue as this started at the same time
Synaptic started having issues.

Fixed in 0ubuntu10 so where do we obtain the fix from or will it
appear in an automatic update?

[Bug 418682] [NEW] Wacom Intuos4 graphics tablet doesn't work with 9.04

2009-08-25 Thread Craig100
Public bug reported:

System: Ubuntu Release 9.04
Kernel: 2.6.28-15-generic
GNOME 2.26.1

After downloading the wacom-tools and xserver-xorg-input-wacom my new
Wacom Intuos4 M Graphcis Tablet does nothing but illuminate an LED by
it's Touch Ring. As it seems to require recompilation of kernels, and
other non-trivial actions, to get it to work (most of which I've tried
unsuccessfully) I'm raising this as an issue as I understand the Ubuntu
9.04 tools are out of date with Wacom's hardware. I'll put my tablet in
storage till Ubuntu can support it:(

I got this error after applying todays upgrades (18-Dec-2008). However,
if I attempt to follow the advice given by starting from the terminal
with firefox -ProfileManager I don't get the profile manager. Firefox
just starts as it normally would, with the Assertion Failed box
floating on top. OS is Linux Ubuntu 8.10 on a Dell PC.
