[Bug 1833435] Re: RFC: Add url/urls/mirrors attribute for product items
Hi Dan and Stéphane, thank you very much for the support. So, what is the solution choice? Probably, the better choice is `urls` or `mirrors` so it's possible inside LXD code handle failover with a secondary mirror. So, for a recap: Solution a) { "datatype": "image-downloads", "updated": "Sat, 04 May 2013 01:58:57 +", "content_id": "sabayon:images:download", "products": { "sabayon:0.1:arm": { "arch": "arm", "stream": "devel", "versions": { "20190111": { "items": { "uec.tar.gz": { "ftype": "lxc.tar.gz", "urls": [ "http://mymirror.edu/lxd-images/sabayon/myimages.tar.gz;, "http://mymirror2.edu/lxd-images/sabayon/myimages.tar.gz; ], "sha256": "xx", "md5": "797e2d488c799eab0a8eb09a9c1ff4a3", "size": 7314153 }, ... } >From LXD client-side the logic could be that if `urls` is not empty I get a random entry from url array and I try to fetch image else use path field as now. Solution b) { "datatype": "image-downloads", "updated": "Sat, 04 May 2013 01:58:57 +", "content_id": "sabayon:images:download", "products": { "sabayon:0.1:arm": { "arch": "arm", "stream": "devel", "versions": { "20190111": { "items": { "uec.tar.gz": { "ftype": "lxc.tar.gz", "path": "/lxd-images/sabayon/myimage.tar.gz", "mirrors": [ "http://mymirror.edu;, "http://mymirror2.edu/sabayon/; ], "sha256": "xx", "md5": "797e2d488c799eab0a8eb09a9c1ff4a3", "size": 7314153 }, ... } With this solution, `mirrors` contains the hostname with an optional prefix and from LXD client-side if mirrors have values then a random field of mirrors field is used and value of path field is used for creating image URL (mirrors[0]+path) Please, let me know how we want to proceed so I try to push a PR to LXD project after my holidays. Thanks again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1833435 Title: RFC: Add url/urls/mirrors attribute for product items To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/simplestreams/+bug/1833435/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1754792] Re: synaptics driver wont load for touchpad, only evdev
This will be solved in linux 4.17. There was a patch in January to enable this device: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10162493 It was merged in the future 4.17: http://lkml.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/1804.0/02942.html So now either we wait for the next kernel or someone at Canonical decides to backport this patch to supported kernels (it is quite a simple driver actually, should not be a problem) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1754792 Title: synaptics driver wont load for touchpad, only evdev To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-hwe-16.04/+bug/1754792/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1762122] [NEW] drm_kms_helper.edid_firmware not working anymore on Ubuntu 18.04
Public bug reported: I installed today Ubuntu 18.04. I have a secondary monitor (Acer AL1914), which does not provide a EDID, so I created one and usually loaded directly from the kernel at startup. The EDID is located here: /lib/firmware/edid/al1914.bin The kernel command line is this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash drm_kms_helper.edid_firmware=VGA-1:edid/al1914.bin" On Ubuntu 16.04, this worked perfectly. Now, the additional mode from the edid is not present among the resolutions available (I have to create a new one and add it with cvt and xrandr once the system is loaded). [Bug 1754792] Re: synaptics driver wont load for touchpad, only evdev
>From what I understand, the touchpad has a secondary i2c interface used for advanced multitouch recognition. Using the aforementioned program, I collected some i2c packets and analyzed them. here is a screenshot of the app, for reference: https://imgur.com/a/ZisG5 The packets are 32byte long, like this one: 5D 08 52 B7 99 34 16 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 the first byte is always 5D. the second byte represents the number of fingers recognized (max. 5) and eventual clicks in this format: [x][x][x][x][x][][][c] the bits marked x are the number of fingers; the c bit indicates if the left button is pressed. In the example, we have 1000 (0x08), meaning only one finger and no left clicks. the next bytes are in sequences of 5 bytes, each sequence representing one finger (the rest is zero). In the example, only one finger is recognized, so we only have one sequence of 5 bytes. This sequence gives us the following information: [Position] : the position of the finger on the trackpad in x,y coordinates [H]: this indicates the pressure of the finger [MK]: I don't know what this means, if you figure out please tell me The first three bytes of the sequence are the position, but in a strange format: let's say we have ABCDEF, the x is given by the exadecimal ACD, and the y by BEF. In the example: (x, y) = (0x5B7, 0x299) = (1463, 665) The fourth byte is the MK value (I don't know what this is) in reverse: we have 34 in the example, so MK = (4,3) The fifth byte is the pressure H, nothing strange here, just the hex value The only problem here is that I don't find the right bus to communicate on linux, does anyone know if there is any way to get this information from Windows (e.g. the i2c bus number)? After this is worked out, a driver must be written, or maybe modify the existing one for elan i2c touchpads. ** Attachment added: "packets.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-hwe-16.04/+bug/1754792/+attachment/5096215/+files/packets.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1754792 Title: synaptics driver wont load for touchpad, only evdev To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-hwe-16.04/+bug/1754792/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1742482] Re: Double-click doesn't open default application

Steps to reproduce: - 1. Connect to an FTP server via Nautilus - 2. Open the file with Nautilus - 3. Nautilus will ask for the download location + 1. Connect to an FTP server via Nautilus + 2a. Right click and select 'open with' and then Bluefish: the file is opened in bluefish as expected - If I try to open the same file with gedit it works well, that's why I - think is Bluefish bug. + So, on the double-click from Nautilus the wrong app (chrome!) is opened + even if the .php files are associated with bluefish. [Bug 1742482] Re: Bluefish asks to download files from Nautilus FTP window
Hello Innocent, Thank you, I have some more info and they lead to a problem in Nautilus rather than bluefish. Here are the updated steps: 1. Connect to an FTP server via Nautilus 2a. Double-click on a .php file: chrome opens and the file is downloaded 2b. Right click and select 'open with' and then Bluefish: the file is opened in bluefish as expected So, on the double-click from Nautilus the wrong app (chrome!) is opened even if the .php files are associated with bluefish. Can you transfer this bug to nautilus? [Bug 759103] Re: amazing days out of town
Hi! We've had an amazing day out of town this weekend, just take a look at the place we've been to, here are some pictures http://pharmedim.pl/thanksgiving.php?d2d3 Sent from my iPhone, Maurizio Daniele From: Bug 759103 [mailto:759...@bugs.launchpad.net] Sent: Friday, July 07, 2017 4:49 PM To: hayab...@libero.it Subject: NEEDS MORE HATS. I think a lot of hate comes from people just not picking it up and continuing to hold on to that feeling. For instance, there's the whole section of playstation gamers who don't get to play and so probably default to disliking the game. Then there's the 'problem' with the game which I believe there is only one that is truly fatal for Titanfall's mass popularity and that is Respawn 'taking out', or not including some of the rubbish bullshit that you see in modern fps games, such as lots of weapons, flashy xp meters and customisation. For me, I'm glad these are not in the game but it's sad that the reason that rubbish *is* in cod and battlefield is because it keeps people playing and that's really all that tf really needs. [Bug 1671360] Re: System doesn't boot properly on AMD Ryzen / Gigabyte GA-AB350-gaming-3
Dear All, I had exactly the same situation of post #23. Coming from Kubuntu 16.04, bought a new system Ryzen 1800x+GA-AB350 Gaming 3. First boot, using the "old" SSD worked fine, so I decided to upgrade to version 16.10. The procedure goes well, but after the reboot got plenty of error message "IRQ VECTOR 07". So I tried with a USB stick and Kubuntu live version 17.04 both beta 1 and Nightly but got the same error. The only way to make the system working, is to manually select kernel 4.4.0-64-generic from grub. I've also tried to install ubuntu kernel 4.10 and 4.11rc1, but I always get the same error. Hope this helps -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1671360 Title: System doesn't boot properly on AMD Ryzen / Gigabyte GA-AB350-gaming-3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1671360/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1659835] [NEW] missing dependencies in ipopt.pc
Public bug reported: On Ubuntu Yakkety, some of the libraries listed by in ipopt.pc (gfortran quadmath) from coinor-libipopt-dev (3.11.9-2.1) are not available when installing the coinor-libipopt-dev package. I think (but I couldn't test it) that adding libgcc-5-dev and libgfortran-5-dev to the dependencies this issue might be fixed, but I don't think this is a good solution. The line responsible is this: Libs: -L${libdir} -lipopt -ldmumps_seq -lblas -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64 -linux-gnu/5 -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/5/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/5/../../../../lib -L/lib/x86_64-linux- gnu -L/lib/../lib -L/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu -L/usr/lib/../lib -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/5/../../.. -llapack -lblas -ldmumps_seq -ldl -lgfortran -lm -lquadmath -lblas -lm -ldl The -L paths point to /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/5, but I suppose that the correct path should be /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/6.
