[Bug 1838538] [NEW] Gimp crash
Public bug reported: Gimp crashed - fresh install. 1) I imported a pdf 2) made all layers except first hidden 3) selected a portion and wrote on it with a pen 4) hide first layer and tried to write on last - I couldn't do that as it was "active layer not visible" 5) selected a portion but still couldn't write 6) I put a lock on last layer and I could write on it (actually on all layers...) 7) I selected a different page and reselected everything (removed lock in the meantime) and after writing to it the program crashed ``` GNU Image Manipulation Program version 2.10.8 git-describe: GIMP_2_10_6-294-ga967e8d2c2 C compiler: Using built-in specs. Re: [Bug 1064022] Re: gnome-shell crashed with signal 5 in st_widget_get_theme_node()
Yes most of the extensions that I'm using have their own css files: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/17/dock/ https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/442/drop-down-terminal/ https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/559/quit-from-dash/ https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/474/stopwatch/ https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/162/todo-list/ I'm not certain when the crashes started but looking at the date of the commit that has introduced the css bug I'd say that it is quite possible that this is the reason. 2013/4/13 Tim t...@feathertop.org are you using extensions which have css stylesheets? there was a crash that is fixed in 3.8 but may need backporting to 3.6 https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome- shell/commit/?id=655dce6a4b2d5ad02a3e108b6fbc118f4a3ae2d2 -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1064022 Title: gnome-shell crashed with signal 5 in st_widget_get_theme_node() Status in “gnome-shell” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I opened AltovaXMLSpy in wine, went to activities menu where I was chatting over empathy notification window and then I switched to skype window (I'm not certain whether I clicked on it or alt tabbed to it). [Bug 1049210] Re: Gnome-shell notification from empathy doesn't contain any text
Jeremy, I've installed the package from -proposed and since that package didn't contain any dependencies on other packages that were in -proposed section in Software Update program I didn't bother with them. I didn't cherry-pick a patch from a repository. Am I missunderstanding you and I should install all the packages that seem related from the -proposed or was it just my wrong use of the pathc term in the post above? What I ment with the patch was that I have installed the patched (fixed) package from the -proposed in the Software Update. I'm asking this just to be certain whtat to do the next time that I test something. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1049210 Title: Gnome-shell notification from empathy doesn't contain any text To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1049210/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1049210] Re: Gnome-shell notification from empathy doesn't contain any text
I've added only the telepathy-logger patch from proposed patches (I saw that there was another patch related to introspection but didn't install it). After that I tried to reproduce the bug and it was still there so I told my friends to message me as soon as I get back in google talk (so that there wouldn't be any prior messages after the restart). Then I restarted my computer and got two new notifications afterwards without any missing text. I haven't noticed any problems since then. I'd say that this covers the steps in my initial bug report as well as the steps in the TESTCASE section.

[Bug 559930] Re: plymouthd crashed with SIGSEGV in ply_trigger_add_handler()
This is occuring to me since I upgraded to 12.10 beta 1. I thought that it was a problem with the graphics drivers related to having nvidia optimus. How to log in: When I notice that the mouse button gets changed to an arrow and the login screen isn't shown for one to two seconds (after this time the mouse and keyboard stop responding so this has to be done before that happens) I press alt + ctrl +f1 and log in with my user. Then I restart the gdm with sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart and the login screen shows up so you can log in normally. [Bug 1049210] [NEW] Gnome-shell notification from empathy doesn't contain any text
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 12.10 beta 1 The problem occures with the combination of gnome-shell and empathy but I had to choose only one package... When I receive a message from someone through empathy (connected to google talk) and the window for chatting with that person is not opened yet, the notification trai contains an icon for that person but the text content is missing and empathy's chat window doesn't open but if you open it manually the text is there. After replying in gnome-shell notification window you get all the new messages that the person writes afterwards without any problems but you never get the old messages. How to reproduce: Open empathy chat window (google talk). Say something to someone. When that person replies write him something back in gnome-shell notification window and then close the empathy chat window on desktop (or if the window isn't opened yet just double click on gnome-shell notification window and close empathy window then after replying). When that person replies back you will only get the notification icon without the text. Also the notification window won't pop up from notification tray and empathy chat window won't open. If the person writes something else the notification window will pop up as normal containing the text that that person wrote next (without the text that was written first). ** Affects: plymouth (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1049210 Title: Gnome-shell notification from empathy doesn't contain any text To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1049210/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 559914] Re: wmv video file handled incorrectly on replay
I've checked it again today on Maverick and what I've reported is still present but I did some additional tests with VLC and I noticed that now they both work the same if you try to see the movie from the beginning (rewind it to a certain location with the progress bar) while it's playing. It seems to me that the only reason that in VLC the player correctly handles the play of the movie the second time is that VLC stops the movie and plays it again while the Totem player only rewinds it and then replays it. I guess that because of this test this bug is invalid. -- wmv video file handled incorrectly on replay https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/559914 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 557669] Re: nautilus missing eject option for cd/dvd-rom
No the bug doesn't occur until I burn the image. If I just insert the cd it ejects fine. I tried to make three iso image burns and with all of them the same bug occurred. However I installed lucid lynx beta2 32 bit on my pc at home and I can't reproduce the bug here. I can try a fresh install on the laptop with formatting of partition before installation to see if the bug will still be present or if you have any other idea how to find out what is wrong... I've found out how to reproduce the bug: 1. go to folder with an iso cd image 2. right click and select open wiht Brasero 3. burn the image to cd 4. error ejecting cd should appear Now unmount replaces eject in nautilus I've reproduced it on last ubuntu 10.04 beta2 32 bit regards, Domen -- nautilus missing eject option for cd/dvd-rom https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557669 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
