[Bug 237995] Re: part of the website not up-to-date
It is a Drupal site and the videos are hosted on Blip.tv. But I don't think that Drupal is what's getting in the way of videos being posted. I think what's getting in the way is that we've NOT had submissions. Not on LP, not in the comments, not on the mailing list, not in the IRC channel... There is currently some momentum in the documentation mailing list and hopefully we will see some new videos generated from that energy. In the mean time though, I really don't think it's appropriate to create a new Web site. [Bug 379839] Re: Ubuntu 9.04 - Tomboy - boot - OAFIID:error
I had the same thing happen to me when I switched my GNOME preferences to include Automatically remember running applications when logging out. This option had not been a problem for me in 8.10 and before, but it is now for Tomboy. With this option set the icon moves from the left side of the panel (where I keep my shortcuts) to the right side (notification area). It is clearly not loading in the same way as before I set the Auto remember option, and appears to be loading twice (once in notification and then the panel instance fails). When the icon appears in the notification area I can use it as I have before (click and notes are listed). [Bug 363887] Re: kde help center kontact/index.html is missing
I think what you're trying to say is, due to the size constraints of the CD, Kubuntu has opted to include kdepim-doc as part of kdepim. The documentation is, instead, listed as a suggested package in the file pool/main/k/kdepim/kdepim_4.2.2-0ubuntu1_all.deb? However, I am saying that when kdepim is installed from the gnome graphical installer, Add/Remove Applications there is no CD to restrain the size of the application installed. In this instance it would be appropriate to also install the documentation, or at least give a warning in Kontact that explains how to go about installing the documentation package. The error message, as written, implies there is no documentation written, which is not true. -- kde help center kontact/index.html is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 361980] [NEW] pcm volume required to play through speakers
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media In 9.04 Jaunty there doesn't seem to be a way to play sound only through speakers plugged that are plugged in through the green plug. The PCM volume must be enabled for sound to also feed through the plugged in speakers, which means there is no way to: 1) play sound only into a headset while on a VOIP call 2) use the volume control on the physical speakers to mute sound (turning down the volume on the external speakers only affects the speakers, not the internal speakers as well). I'm not sure if this is a usability problem (configuration) or a true technical bug with the sliders. Either way it is definitely a bug if I can't figure it out within a few minutes of playing and testing with sounds. Note: this does work in 8.10 with my laptop (plugging in external speakers disables the laptop built-in speakers). ** Affects: gnome-media (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- pcm volume required to play through speakers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361980 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 290946] [NEW] application crashes when window is resized
Public bug reported: I can resize the window to make it taller; but if I resize the window to make it wider it crashes at a certain width. I can make the window narrower. [Bug 274220] [NEW] Online data storage to migrate from Windows
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: migration-assistant This is a wishlist bug report. Please move it to the appropriate queue for processing. :) I would love to see a remote backup service added to the Live CD that would help people migrate their data from Windows to Ubuntu. The application would connect to a Web-based service and would upload all data from the current machine to a secure offsite backup. The machine could then have Ubuntu installed and the data would be migrated back down from the secure site to the (now) Ubuntu machine. The advantage of using this service over a local migration only would be: (1) people can see their data is safe before migrating; (2) people can continue to backup their data to an offsite location (therefore making Ubuntu appear safer from data loss). Integration with a service such as Mozy.com, or Amazon S3 or Dropbox (already has a Windows + Ubuntu client) would be preferred. If someone already has an offsite service set up the tool should be able to hook into it and download the data. This idea is also loosely described in http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/13671 Refinements welcome. :) ** Affects: migration-assistant (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New -- Online data storage to migrate from Windows https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274220 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
