[Bug 1428184] Re: [Samsung NP305U1A-A05CO] Invisible mouse pointer after resume from suspend

2015-05-22 Thread Esben Damgaard
I've had the same problem on a HP 255 G2 Notebook.
Also uninstalling upower solves the issue.

(I don't have time to do file a report as I have to ship this computer
to a customer)

[Bug 732740] [NEW] Should depend on python-wxgtk2.8

2011-03-10 Thread Esben Damgaard
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pype

I'm using ubuntu 10.10 and version 2.9.1-2~maverick1 of pype. I installed the
program through the softwarecenter.
When I try to open the program it says it requires wxWidgets 2.8 but only
version 2.6 is installed.
Solved by installing python-wxgtk2.8.

** Description changed:

I got a Eee Top et1610pt with Windows preinstalled. I plugged in earphones
when in windows first installation process (because of annoying music from
speaker). I shot down the computer and installed Ubuntu 10.04 and only sound
from headphones works. Speakers don't work when earphones are unplugged.
  Going through https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure
:

  Output step 3: http://paste.ubuntu.com/495370/
  Output step 4: http://paste.ubuntu.com/495372/

I've tried to mute and unmute different things in alsamixer to no avail.

  The solution is this:
  hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x15 SET_EAPD_BTLENABLE 0x2

That makes sound behave normally. The only thing is that this has to be
set at every boot, so I put it in /etc/rc.local

This should of course not be necessary to do.
