[Bug 2064320] Re: gnome-control-center : unable to import a wireguard configuration from file

2024-04-30 Thread Fabien Gagné
omg I've tried to import a new wireguard config from my VPN provider, but with
a short filename; the import seemed to fail because the dialog closed
immediately after selecting the file and the new VPN connection would not add
to the list. Tried a second time and had a crash; submitted the report as
suggested but it would come back again as a new crash repeatedly. I decided to
reboot to try again fresh but now I have no networking altogether. No Ethernet
device in /dev
But lspci still reports my two Ethernet adapters.
I look like I will have to wipe off this system again, start from scratch.
:(

[Bug 2064364] [NEW] gnome-control-center: wireguard pair closes when loosing focus

2024-04-30 Thread Fabien Gagné
Public bug reported:

Just installed a fresh Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

In gnome-control-center -> Network -> VPN -> + -> Wireguard -> Pairs
-> +

When adding a pair for the Wireguard connection, if the window looses
focus (for example because we need do copy-paste from another window),
the entire "pair" dialog closes and we loose as the info previously
entered.

As it is, it's almost not humanly possible to setup a wireguard
connection manually because typing several long keys by hand is too
error prone.

[Bug 2064320] Re: gnome-control-center : unable to import a wireguard configuration from file

2024-04-30 Thread Fabien Gagné
Whoa you nailed it.

The code fails if the filename + extension is > 20 characters long. It
handles the path name length correctly, it fails only if the filename +
extension is longer than 20 characters. It should be good up to 255 or
32k characters, but it isn't.

Will this be fixed?

[Bug 1961630] [NEW] Thunderbolt display not working

2022-02-21 Thread Fabien Sanglard
Public bug reported:

My Thinkpad X1 Gen4 (20Y5000QUS) using Ubuntu 21.10 is unable to connect
to Thunderbolt monitor (BENQ PD2272OU).

It works as expected (monitor signal + USB devices) when I installed
Windows 10 on the laptop so I have ruled out hardware issues. I have
also tried with a Carbon Gen9 running Ubuntu 21.10 and it works as
expected.

The monitor "BENQ PD2272OU" is detected in the Thunderbolt pane as
"Authorized" but no signal and no USB devices. I have installed all
updates and firmware available in the "Software" app. I have checked the
BIOS and I have "Wake on AC plug" enabled.

At this point I am unsure what to try.

to workaround this, feel free to give me pointers.

[Bug 1929255] [NEW] update-initrd-links creates incorrect symlinks

2021-05-21 Thread Fabien Malfoy
Public bug reported:

## Problem description

Executing the `/etc/kernel/postinst.d/xx-update-initrd-links` script
incorrectly detects symbolic links targets and then creates malformed
(hence broken) ones instead:

/initrd.img -> initrd.imgboot/vmlinuz-5.3.0-53-generic
/initrd.img.old -> initrd.imgboot/vmlinuz-5.3.0-53-generic

while it should actually be:

/initrd.img -> boot/initrd.img-5.3.0-53-generic
/initrd.img.old -> boot/initrd.img-5.3.0-53-generic

The problem appeared with the release of the version 4.5ubuntu1.5 of the
linux-base package, which made this script executable.

## Solution

A solution is proposed through the attached patch file.

## System information

Description:Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS

ole" or removing gfxterm with
"terminal_output console" resolved the situation but typing such command as set
prefix=(memdisk), ... cryptomount -u xyzaabac, set
root='lvmid/Eh2HHw-Bceq-VfsK-Kz01-kaeg-dRbz-Rwcntf/nVAE5f-GOrJ-wvu3-RTN0-mzAe-G4Oo-mzTQrN'
and then passphrase without any typos erros at first attempt with a different
keyboard layout was a real challenge.
- => 2nd stage grub: Impossible to access grub menus, edit command and type
command in the grub console with at_keybord eg: "terminal_input at_keyboard" is
loaded even in 1st stage grub.
+ => 1st stage grub: Impossible to type strong passphrase as in test case [0]
but this time it's because gfxterm and at_keyboard are loaded at the same time
and each keystroke must be typed 7x or more times (sometimes more than 10 times
+ beep) to be taken into account, so impossible to know what you are typing
because nothing is printed at screen while you type your password. By accessing
grub minimal console due to a limited core.img and removing at_keybord with
"terminal_input console" or removing gfxterm with "terminal_output console"
resolved the situation but typing such command as set prefix=(memdisk), ...
cryptomount -u xyzaabac, set
root='lvmid/Eh2HHw-Bceq-VfsK-Kz01-kaeg-dRbz-Rwcntf/nVAE5f-GOrJ-wvu3-RTN0-mzAe-G4Oo-mzTQrN'
and then the passphrase without any typos erros at first attempt with a
different keyboard layout was a real challenge.
+ => 2nd stage grub: Impossible to access grub menus, edit command and type
command in the grub console when at_keybord (eg: "terminal_input at_keyboard")
is loaded even in 1st stage grub.

  Conclusion:
It seems that if grub at_keyboard module is loaded with "terminal_input
at_keyboard" (to load a custom keyboard layout tested with german, italian,
french ...) even only in the 1st stage grub ... it's almost impossible to
access any grub menu (edit command or console) in grub (same level) or even in
another child grub as the 2nd stage if grub gfxterm module is loaded too.

So, for international users typing a strong passphrase is almost
impossible without using something like "test123" or "qwerty123" and
keeping access on any child grub.

The message is the same, but I cannot see a "hidepid" mount option
anywhere.

As a standard user I can see all /proc/ directories, and read
the /proc//cgroup file of other users, including root.

So I'd say that it is not exactly the same issue.

[Bug 1882034] [NEW] cannot start X session with NIS account

2020-06-04 Thread Fabien
Public bug reported:

When login with a NIS account, X does not start, or more precisely it
starts and exits immediately.

Only errors in logs is:
(EE) systemd-logind: failed to get session: PID 4335 does not belong to any
known session

X11/gdm login works fine with local accounts.

SSH/terminal console login with NIS accounts works fine.

/etc/X11/Xwrapper.config:
  allowed_users=anybody

I've seen several reports of such problems under other versions (eg
19.10), but no working solutions was found. It seems that the problem is
the same with lightdm.

[Bug 1859587] [NEW] gimp instead of evince has priority to display pdf files

2020-01-14 Thread Fabien
Public bug reported:

It seems that because "/etc/mailcap" contains two lines for
"application/pdf", and gimp is ahead of evince, my mailer (alpine)
choses gimp automatically for displaying pdf files, which is always a
bad idea.

Fix is *not* to declare gimp for pdf files, at least not ahead of
evince…

[Bug 1853203] [NEW] 30 seconds boot delay when usr fs is on lvm

2019-11-19 Thread Fabien SK
Public bug reported:

A bit similar to "30 seconds boot delay when root fs is on lvm":
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lvm2/+bug/1807499

I installed Kubuntu 19.04 with 2 LVM volume groups (one per disk). My root and
my /usr are both located on the same LVM. Mounting /usr takes 30s, but if I
move the /usr to a non-LVM partition then the mounting takes no time and the
whole boot process is very fast.
In the script "scripts/local" of initramfs-tools, there is a 30s timeout called
"slumber" passed to the "wait-for-root" program (from initramfs-tools-bin), and
the wait comes from there (I could see it by adding traces before and after).
If I decrease the timeout to 10s, the system can still boot correctly (and 20s
faster).

I don't know if the problem comes from the initramfs-tools scripts, from
wait-for-root or from the integration in (K)Ubuntu.

[Bug 1799095] Re: Firewalld nftables backend breaks networking of libvirt

2019-10-16 Thread Fabien of Hill
I did not tried but it seems to be the way to go ?

"If firewalld is active on the host, libvirt will attempt to place the
bridge interface of a libvirt virtual network into the firewalld zone
named "libvirt" (thus making all guest->host traffic on that network
subject to the rules of the "libvirt" zone)."

[Bug 743176] Re: Pink layer on taken screenshots (gnome-screenshot)

2019-05-06 Thread Fabien S
I have the same issue (ubuntu 18.04, fresh install) and it seems to be related
to my second screen too.
I've taken multiple screenshots from my 2nd screen and all had this pink layer.
Then I started "googling" to find similar issues and read this bug report (and
Raph comment) : I took a new screenshot using the other screen (tagged #1 /
secondary screen in configuration) and pink layer was gone.
I tested several times and it's a real workaround.

[Bug 1820363] Re: NEC/Renesas PCI USB3 Cards (uPD720201) Host halt failed, -19

2019-04-03 Thread Fabien
@Mike

Many Thanks for your answer.
The PCI-X is a 4 ports with 2 channels.
The PCIe is 7 ports with an unknown number of channels.

The PCI-X was intended to be used with a HP Proliant for external Backup
purpose which is running Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS. No more PCIe slots are
available because they are used by the Smart Array RAID Controller.

I will try to revert back this weekend to 2.0.2.0 using the last
survival Windows.

But if I understand well what you mean I have no chance to get the PCI-X
adapter working with any kernel with a version > 4.9 ?

I really appreciate your help.
Thank you Mike.

[Bug 1820363] Re: NEC/Renesas PCI USB3 Cards (uPD720201) Host halt failed, -19

2019-03-31 Thread Fabien
Hello,

I can't produce more log because kernel hangs at startup. Can't start
computer without the PCI card and insert when powered on.

@Mike, The card has firmware 2.0.2.6 which seems to the last version.
She was provided with 2.0.2.0 and tried too with 2.0.2.4.
I updated to the last version using Windows on an other computer which has
PCI-X slots.
I tested this PCI card on a Gigabyte mainboard and an HP Proliant mainboard and
each time kernel hangs with the same error "Host halt failed, -19".

If you have some links I can try to update firmware of the card with
other releases.

I have too the PCIe version based on the same chip "Renesas Technology
Corp. uPD720201" and kernel is not hanging with the PCIe version. It
seems to be related to the PCI/PCI-X.

I never done a kernel bisection and will try to follow Ubuntu
documentation that I found.

Kind Regards

I installed Ubuntu Server 18.04.2 without the PCI card without trouble
and then reinserted the PCI Card computer never start always
hanging at the same steps as above.

I managed to start only once time with the PCI card plugged by adding
"pci=nomsi" to the kernel command line using an Ubuntu Mate Live media

It was lucky because it never worked again.
PCI card was not working but computer started.

Here you can find included lspci -vv, lshw and full dmesg taken from
during this unique startup with the PCI Card.

I tried the same PCI Card with two computers and always had the same results.
Kernel is hanging with "xhci_hcd :0d:00.0: init :0d:00.0 fail, -19" and
nothing more.

I tried this PCI Card with a CentOS 7.3 on same computer and kernel
(3.10) is starting well and PCI card is fully working.

Many thanks for your assistance.
I apologize if it's an already reported bug.

when will new package arrive on the repositories ?

This update is important since the TLS-SNI-01 validation option is soon
turned off by LE.

TLS-SNI-01 validation is reaching end-of-life. It will stop working
temporarily on February 13th, 2019, and permanently on March 13th, 2019.

I've the same problem.

We need to add pemanent static routes and networkd failed with the same

I think I've found the upstream bug in systemd :

[Bug 1257153] Re: Option "AreaBottomEdge" ignores other areas when active

2017-02-04 Thread Fabien Chéreau
I have a similar issue with my click pad (Dell XPS 15). The issue is
well described in the upstream project there:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66532

The patch suggested by one maintainer (Kit Westneat) fixes the issue as
far as I am concerned, and I can finally keep my fingers on the buttons
without blocking the mouse movement done with the other finger.

I attach the (modified) patch to add to the package to solve the issue.

To test:
apt-get source xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
cp path/to/fix_multitouch_outside_area.patch
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-1.8.2/debian/patches/
echo fix_multitouch_outside_area.patch >>
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-1.8.2/debian/patches/series
cd xserver-xorg-input-synaptics-1.8.2
dpkg-buildpackage
cd ..
sudo dpkg -i xserver-xorg-input-synaptics_1.8.2-1ubuntu3_amd64.deb

reboot and tell synaptics to ignore the bottom clickpad area:
xinput set-prop 12 "Synaptics Area" 0, 0, 0, 800

Result:
I can now keep my left thumb on the bottom left button while moving the cursor
with the right hand.

[Bug 1604333] Re: nm-applet crashes when connecting to a wireless network, around password prompt

The "when connecting to a wireless network, around password prompt" part
is not obvious to me. The wireless connection works, then nm-applet
fails later on on the assert. I have not seen any password prompt.

[Bug 1547286] Re: 16.04 installer can't get past "Force UEFI installation"

2016-05-24 Thread Fabien
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1418706 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1418706

The computer had 1xSSD + 1xRAID1of2xHDD and i'm using manual partitionning.
What i do :
-create new PT on the SSD and the RAID,
-add EFI part on the SSD,
-add parts i need on both disks.
-next and the pop-up...

I've finally have my fresh install, with this method :
-create new PT on each disk,
-add FAT32 part on the SSD (NOT EFI),
-add parts you need on disks,
-next and a pop-up about the missing EFI -> go back,
-select the first FAT32 part mensioned above, modify to EFI,
-next and install :)

Hope this helps...

[Bug 1550852] Re: apt-mirror does not reflect dep11/Components-* and dep11/icons-*

2016-05-18 Thread Fabien
This extension also breaks the simple use case where someone has a
mirror run on a Debian (ie not Ubuntu) box... Currently a mirror can
only work with a Xenial server, how short sighted.

Breaking compatibility with Debian was not a good move: it is a
"solution" which solves no problem I had, but creates some instead. I'm
not impressed.

Is there a plan to backport up-stream these stupid extensions to Debian?

I got yet :
$> grep AUFS_X /boot/config-4.2.0-36-generic

[Bug 1557776] [NEW] CONFIG_AUFS_XATTR is not set

2016-03-15 Thread Fabien COMBERNOUS
Public bug reported:

I am using ubuntu 15.10 with kernel linux-image-4.2.0-27-generic.
The setting CONFIG_AUFS_XATTR is not set.

With the previous ubuntu version 15.04 and linux-image-3.19.0-42-generic
this setting was compiled as CONFIG_AUFS_XATTR=y

Without CONFIG_AUFS_XATTR docker users using the AUFS driver can not
work with capabilities.

[Bug 1415958] Re: Laptop + external display does not suspend on lid close

2015-04-26 Thread Fabien LOISON
Hello,

Same here on my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon gen3 (2015) with Ubuntu 15.04:
the org/gnome/settings-daemon/power/lid-close-suspend-with-external-
monitor option seems to be ignored (it worked on Ubuntu 14.10).

@penalvch: I don't think it is a kernel bug since I already used the
3.19 kernel on Ubuntu 14.10.

[Bug 1316278] Re: Cannot change mac with --random

2014-10-22 Thread Fabien of Hill
Temporary fix I used: install an older version

1) you need to uninstall current
sudo apt-get remove macchanger

2) download previous package
If you're on 64 bit version:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/m/macchanger/macchanger_1.5.0-9_amd64.deb

Or 32 bit:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/m/macchanger/macchanger_1.5.0-9_i386.deb

3) click on the package and install it

4) disable update for this package only
sudo apt-mark hold macchanger

Later) When you'll be switching to 14.10 or later you can put the
package update back with
sudo apt-mark unhold macchanger

Regards

[Bug 1241101]

2014-07-20 Thread Fabien-toral
So, after few tries in Virtual Machines to test different Debian/gtk
versions, and other researches on the net, I found a workaround to make
Luna work on my Debian laptop :

export SWT_GTK3=0

That aims to fallback to the GTK2 SWT implementation and bring my
Eclipse back!

I was not on the right bug report, and found my way with a comment on
bug #430736 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=430736#c26

With that, it comes to me that the only solution, as i don't want to
upgrade my glibc, is to fallback to GTK2...

And thanks to
http://www.eclipse.org/swt/R4_4/new_and_noteworthy.html#m3, the
information was there...

(In reply to David Matějček from comment #22)
Problematic frames occurs in two variants:
 1) # C [libgobject-2.0.so.0+0x31b3c] g_type_check_instance_is_a+0x3c
 2) # C [libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0+0x24492a] gtk_widget_queue_draw+0x1a

I've a third variant in the crash log provided in attachment :
# C [libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0+0x5173f] gdk_display_open+0x3f

The crash occurs directly at startup while the splash screen is
displayed.

My system is a fresh Debian Wheezy 7.5, the gtk version found is :
libgtk-3-common 3.4.2-7

I'll try to find some time to check with a newer GTK as suggested by
your comment #25

I tested on a KINGSTON v300 and a v100 and everything works fine.

I used the discard mount option as it seems to be the most efficient to detect
this misbehavior.
And then I started:

sudo apt-get build-dep libreoffice; apt-get source -b libreoffice

It worked fine, I also tried with periodic fstrim -v /
No problem either.

I'm now starting to do the same test on a Kingspec C3000.6 and several
other models from the same manufacturer.

What kind of heavy simple test can I run on my Kingston and Kingspec
SSDs to know if they also are affected by this kind of problems ?

A simple testing method should help build the whitelist/blacklist.

I have access to several SSDs from a lot of manufacturers, the only ones
that are not already whitelisted are Kingston and Kingspec, I have some
of them of various models, so I may be able to help.

I'm already using them with discard enabled, but I'm not usually doing
anything crazy on them. If I should compile LibreOffice or do some kind
of stress testing on them, I will if you ask me.

Hi,

I found a bug in Ubuntu 14.04 !

When I select it, it only shows the last selected item options and don't do

I must mention that it worked very well on Ubuntu 12.04.

This bug can be in the bluetooth stack or in unity-control-center or

[Bug 1253361] Re: Printer driver installation freezes

2014-01-10 Thread Fabien Lusseau
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1248303 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1248303

I have the same problem with my Canon Pixma MP450 and Ubuntu 13.10 !

System-config-printer try to install gutenprint, but is gutenprint
already installed ?!!! (it's one of the default packages)

And it sits right there for all eternity. I think I could wait 2 years
it will still not time out or something ...

I rebooted, I tried on a fresh install, I tried to use the second option
Local Driver and it's even worst ! Forward doesn't do anything !

The only way to make this printer install, is to click on gutenprint,
then, you cancel very fast the gutenprint installation, then you have
the traditional list of printers ! And now it's working ?!? (yes it does
work !)

Please fix your sh*t ubuntu devs ! Please make your modifications less
random and untested. How in the world, is an option to bypass something
(local driver) not even tested in real life ?! You are embarrassing
everybody !

This printer should not even ask for a driver install, as it works
perfectly with what is already there !

And why asking to install openprinting-gutenprint when gutenprint is
already installed ?! What is the difference ?

Please explain yourself ! Remove this anti-feature ... Because right
there, it's not a feature, it's a bug, and a big one indeed !

It feels like somebody had a good idea but never had a canon printer
handy to test with, or even to know if it worked. Man, it's tiring
sometime to see all theses untested features ...

I think the idea is for users with canon printer requiring proprietary
drivers. And for that, it's good and neat. But if your only choice is
gutenprint, ... to download and install gutenprint a second time, in
case having one copy of gutenprint wasn't enough, it's bullsh*t !!! This
choice shouldn't be there. Even if it worked properly !

It should be said, man, give a little more effort in your code ubuntu
team, make it more error resilient, everything you do should be
bypassed. It's a printer install wizard, why is this so badly butchered
!

And it's not the first time we have something like that in Ubuntu, in fact,
it's every time something new is coming from the ubuntu internal devs. Don't
rely that much on the users to test things ! You are tiring them. If it's
impossible to keep updating everything every 6 month, just stop this nonsense !
I'm using Ubuntu from 6.06, so I'm not a quitter, but I know why one would
want to stop caring about such a distribution and start searching somewhere
else. Ubuntu should really start to Eat is own dog food. That means, if you
make a change, make it such that yourself or another developer can test it in
real life with real hardware on the development release so most of the bugs are
seen and fixed by someone that may know better.
It's faster and way more reliable than making a modification in the dark,
waiting for a user that had enough to shout his anger to you all, don't know
what really appended that made this mess, and having to spend the time to read,
understand and decrypt what the problem is.

The fact is, despite the popularity of canon printers, I'm only the
second one reporting that bug, nobody takes time nowadays to make a bug
report if their is a workaround (in this case that is using cups web
interface). It should warn you at how much of your users you have
transformed in uncaring zombies. Even myself, as a long time ubuntu
user, I feel like making a bug report is now becoming nothing else than
wasting my time, waiting for something that will never appends, so might
as well wait for the next release.

Sometime I think as Ubuntu as a Linux distribution developed by peoples
on their Macs ! Some bugs are sometime so blatant that it feels like
nobody is using it, even the developers ! (I have a lot of bugs like
that in mind, for example, when you open a .deb with the Software
center, the home of the software center appears, then, after some more
time, the deb installer pops up. It's soo confusing !! A new user
will think that the packets was not opened properly ... So why is this
already 3/4 releases with this bug. Is this that difficult to make a
Please wait screen so the home screen don't show up ?!)

So well, I'm rambling, but, I'm very very tired of this, Ubuntu is my
work tool, and I make all I can do to make it more popular (I tell
everyone interested with Linux, I make videos about it, I'm contributing
to the french wiki about ubuntu, etc ...), and I'm so disappointed by
the lack of interest the developers have about their own work. The 6
month schedule doesn't help them in that aspect ... But even with that.
What a lack of perfectionism. Sometime you have to sit back and fix the
little details that makes the difference between something good and
something you really want to use ! And I hope 14.04 will be the end of
this nightmare !

PS: I'm sorry for the anger level of my post, but I wasted so much time
this night trying to find what

[Bug 1226961] [NEW] Krita gets extremely slow while handling trnasparent .png files

2013-09-18 Thread Fabien NGUYEN
Public bug reported:

I usually work on 4000 x 4000px @ 400 dpi files and I happen to insert
.png files in my document by :

+ importing the layer from an imported .png file in Krita ;
+ pasting from The GIMP as Monitor.

Some parts of the layer are transparent.

Every time I handle this layer and work on the layer itself (rotate,
screw, resize), Krita freezes for a while when I try to undo one of this
operations, for several minutes sometimes. No apparent disk access
during this undo.

Memory handle problem ?

Krita 2.4.0
Koffice 2.3.2
Kubuntu 12.04

[Bug 1002952] Re: [meta-bug] Invalid extra Digital output S/PDIF device for USB cards

I have a Jabra GN 9330 like user in comment #14, but adding the line:

GN 9330 999

to the /usr/share/alsa/cards/USB-Audio.conf file did the trick.

No problem, i understand and i didn't check if the bug was fixed in the

[Bug 996535] Re: package zram-config 0.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2013-04-12 Thread Fabien Lusseau
I know what this bug is about (I think) !

This package use a set of scripts to check how much CPU cores you have to set
the number of virtual swaps accordingly.
The problem is, the scripts are checking for a text string (Processor) and
this string is usually here one time only.

But if you are using a Pentium M CPU like me, this string is here twice
and this confuses the scripts at upstart is trying to init zram.

To repair this package for us, the only thing needed is to make the
upstart job script a little wiser.

I myself don't think I have the knowledge to do that, but I will try !

[Bug 1166831] [NEW] bad syntax in config file

2013-04-09 Thread Fabien D.
Public bug reported:

There is a syntax error in file /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/rpaf.conf :

IfModule mod_rpaf.c

It should be :

IfModule rpaf_module

Without this modification, module does not work : with the default
syntax, i get the reverse proxy IP. With the good syntax (rpaf_module),
i get the real client IP.

[Bug 998204] Re: Intel chipset driver bug on Ubuntu certified Dell Latitude E5420: connecting power cord makes kworker run amok

2013-03-02 Thread fabien c
Hi,
I have the same laptop at work (E5420) and the same bug, but it's nothing
compared to the Samsung NP-R530-JA06FR :
The Dell is lagging only when battery is charging, the bug on the Samsung is
random, so it's unusable.
I tried Ubuntu 12.04, 12.10, amd64 and i386 versions, xubuntu 12.04, the last
3.8.1 kernel and many others. Same results.

The origin of the lag seems to be the same for the two laptops : Intel I²C
perf report extract on the samsung:
- 23,17% kworker/0:1 [i915] [k] get_clock
   - get_clock
  - 99,63% sclhi
 + 80,31% i2c_outb.isra.0
 + 19,69% i2c_stop
- 18,19% kworker/1:2 [i915] [k] get_clock
   - get_clock
  - 99,75% sclhi
 + 80,22% i2c_outb.isra.0
 + 19,78% i2c_stop
+ 8,90% kworker/0:1 [kernel.kallsyms][k] native_read_ts
+ 7,03% kworker/1:2 [kernel.kallsyms][k] native_read_ts
+ 4,94% kworker/0:1 [kernel.kallsyms][k] delay_tsc
+ 4,67% swapper [kernel.kallsyms][k] read_hpet

Is there a way to fix this, even by disabling something like autodetection of
external screens?
I tried Option HotPlug off in xorg.conf but it's not enough.

[Bug 910623] Re: No files after download

2013-01-25 Thread Fabien Toral
Hi,
after some more tests, and command line executions, I've removed the flag
mentioning that i was affected by this bug.

Before crying after that §*%@ software :) be sure to have a really paired
device !
In may case, my attempts and switches between ANT Agent on a Windows 7 pc for
connect.garmin.com to work and the garmin-ant-downloader command on my ubuntu
pc seems to broke the pairing.

After a new pairing with all the paramters set to on on the watch, i was
able to get my TCX files.

Config :
Forerunner 410
Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10

(Now a gonna try to find out another bug on my Lucid laptop - garmin-
ant-downloader core dumped...)
