Hi. Sorry for the long delays in answering your messages. I am quite a lazy QA. As I have said before the issue is no longer the same on my machine. Here is the X log file with the conf renamed. See attached. There are a few things I would like to mention. When I renamed the xorg.conf and restarted the X I got the login screen and after submitting my login credentials I did not actually get the desktop. I waited for a few minutes until the hard drive stopped the noise and it was clear for me that that's it. I use proprietary driver for my ATI X 1650 PRO video card. I enabled it to make Compiz work. Re: [Bug 146912] Re: Gusty: cannot switch to virtual consoles
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 129910 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/129910 Your are right, this appeared to be duplicate of 129910 and I marked it as duplicate in the system. As to modprobe fbcon - ttys start working till next reboot. Please note that before upgrading to Gusty this worked stable and I did not do anything to disable tty or something like that. Can you please run the command: ps ax | grep tty and verify the virtual consoles are active? [Bug 147094] Gusty: ext3 partition appear to be full
Public bug reported: After upgrading from Feisty to Gusty a 2 of my ext3 partitions look like there is no free space in there. Even my 17.7 GB root partition looks like it has only 764Mb of free space while I did not copy anything huge there. I guess this issue will make me switch back to Feisty. Yet I am not sure this will help with the ext3 partitions. uname Linux Bee 2.6.22-12-generic #1 SMP Sun Sep 23 18:11:30 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gusty: ext3 partition appear to be full https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147094 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
