[Bug 1276745] Re: Task switcher not shown over some apps in full screen mode

2015-11-03 Thread Gilberto Olimpio
One thing that I've noticed is that just opening IntelliJ and making it
full screen, doesn't trigger this bug.

But if I open a second project in intelliJ (in a new window) and make it
full screen as well, then switch to another application and switch back
to IntelliJ, this will trigger the bug and break the switcher.

Chromium has similar behavior, usually the bug happens when I open a
second Chromium window in fullscreen.

I'm also using 2 monitors, not sure if this is related.

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 15.10

Applications running in full screen mode, causing that bug:
- Chromium Version 45.0.2454.101 Ubuntu 15.10 (64-bit)

[Bug 1396390] [NEW] Geary crashes when composing a new message

2014-11-25 Thread Gilberto Olimpio
Public bug reported:

How to reproduce it:

1) Press ctrl-N or click on Compose new message button.
2) Enter to, subject
3) Start writing it

At step 3, it is extremely slow. But if I skip step 2 and if I don't
enter the email address (to), it doesn't freeze or crash.

I believe it's nothing related with typing the body of the message, but
something related with retrieving/handle the list of contacts.

[Bug 919869] Re: Application icons pinned in the launcher do not pulse when not started by a click on the launcher application icon

2013-01-16 Thread Gilberto Olimpio
This bug is quite annoying because you don't know if the application was
launched or not.
I've seen users clicking a few times because of the lack of visual feedback.
It should be considered a several usability issue and have a higher priority,
not medium priority.

[Bug 267977] [NEW] Intrepid freeze when lock or blank the screen

2008-09-08 Thread Gilberto Olimpio
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I'm running Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 Alpha 5 with all upgrades (8th Sep)
This bug is similar to Bug 265119 (I think the only difference is the video
card)

I running Ubuntu on a HP Pavilion dv6000.
When I try to lock the screen or when the power management blanks the screen,
my system freezes
not only the X, but all Ubuntu.
Like bug 265119, caps lock also doesn't work.
