[Bug 1770604] Re: Arduino IDE from repository does not work because of "java.lang.NullPointerException thrown while loading gnu.io.RXTXCommDriver"

2018-10-07 Thread Greg Holst
Same problem on Lubuntu 18.04 with the build from the most current
ubuntu repo (1.0.5 I believe. 2:1.0.5+dfsg2-4.1). The 1.8.4 version
from the arduino website works fine.

[Bug 1174706] Re: Unable to set Alt+Print as screenshot keyboard shortcut (laptopt keyboard)

2016-08-15 Thread Greg Holst
I wanted to set the keyboard shortcut for "Copy a screenshot of a window
to clipboard" to Alt+Print but it wouldn't allow me. I could use other
combinations however, Ctrl+print, Shift+Print, etc. I disabled the Alt
key in Compiz to show the HUD as well so nothing happens when I tap or
press Alt, but it still doesn't let me use it in the keyboard shortucts
menu.

[Bug 811604] Re: uvcdynctrl spams uvcdynctrl-udev.log and fills up filesystem

2016-07-23 Thread Greg Holst
This prevented me from logging onto my computer after a restart. It
shut me down for over 2 hours. I'm using the version from the ubuntu
software center of guvcview (guvcview 1.7.1-1ubuntu1).

[Bug 882464] Re: missing icons in dropdown-menus of inkscape and gimp

2012-03-23 Thread Greg Holst
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 775702 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/775702

I have the exact same symptoms.

Ubuntu 11.10 (64bit)
Inkscape 0.48.1
Gimp 2.6.11

This happened after updating on 3-23-2012. I also installed Cairo-Dock
immediately after updating so it may be related to that. The icons that
do appear in the inkscape and gimp menus looked like the ones used in
the Dock so I suspect that cairo-dock overwrote the original icons or
changed a configuration file for gimp and inkscape.

Any other ideas?

[Bug 775702] Re: Some menu icons missing in Inkscape since upgrade to 11.04

2012-03-23 Thread Greg Holst
I have the same symptoms in K3B, Inkscape, Gimp, and the ubuntu software
center.

The problem appeared after I updated ubuntu 11.10 on 3/22/2012 and
installed cairo-dock immediately after. I'm not sure which one may have
caused the problem. Now I can't get rid of those icons and they are
really distracting.

These are the changes I made to ubuntu 11.10 that started the problem.
Packages updated:

thunderbird-globalmenu
gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
software-center
checkbox
gstreamer0.10-gconf
thunderbird
xserver-xorg-video-openchrome
checkbox-gtk

Packages Installed:

libetpan15
cairo-dock-plug-ins-data
cairo-dock-core
culr
cairo-dock-data
libgtkglext1
cairo-dock-plugins-integration
cairo-dock
cairo-dock-plug-ins

Any workarounds?
