[Bug 1239127] Re: stuck at timezone selection screen, only if within geoip location ~ America/Montreal

2014-01-13 Thread IdleOne
How exactly is this a fix? Canonical has an office in Montreal but the
OS it sponsors does not list Montreal in geoip?

This is unacceptable.

2012-07-05 Thread IdleOne
I did a $ sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/*.deb
then $sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

all the updates seemed to install without errors.

ubuntu-release-upgrader-qt was not installed with the dist-upgrade.

Re: [Bug 256021] Re: glxinfo crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main()

2010-03-20 Thread IdleOne
I believe it was yesterday morning, or maybe this morning I did a aptitude
upgrade and 2 or 3 nvidia packages were installed. I don't have any nvidia
hardware, they do not seem to cause any problems for me but I removed them
after installing.

[Bug 382786] Re: gnomebaker crashes on adding files to a Data DVD

2010-03-09 Thread IdleOne
I am experiencing something similar.

Steps: Click on Data DVD, select files, add files. Then click on a
different directory to select/add more files and gnomebaker crashes

I ran the app from terminal to reproduce the error and exact same steps caused
same result.
Output:

[Bug 533353] Re: USB stick not recognized since upgrade to 2.6.31-20-generic-pae

2010-03-06 Thread IdleOne
Problem solved! by installing usb-modeswitch package from repositories.

since the driver is included as a
Linux kernel module, such as "usbserial". However, the device still
shows up as "usb-storage" by default. usb-modeswitch solves that
issue by sending the command which actually performs the switching
of the device from "usb-storage" to "usbserial".
