[Bug 223830] Re: 8.04: NFS volume neither shown under places in nautilus, nor as icon on the desktop
Sebastien, Thanks for the prompt reply. I believe you, but somehow my /mnt/foo mount appeared both on the desktop and in the places section of file selection windows in 7.10. I don't remember doing anything to tell Ubuntu to do this, but maybe I'm forgetting something. On the desktop, the icon for the mount was uneditable, and in the places dialog, it was listed in the top section, which users can't edit. Is there a way to manually tell Ubuntu to do this without changing the mount location (which would require me to change several apps' configurations)? [Bug 223830] Re: 8.04: NFS volume neither shown under places in nautilus, nor as icon on the desktop
I have the same problem. On 7.10 I had desktop and places icons automagically generated for a network share. On a clean install of 8.04, these are no longer automatically generated. My client machines use the following line in /etc/fstab: jefferson:/mnt/data /mnt/data nfs auto -- 8.04: NFS volume neither shown under places in nautilus, nor as icon on the desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 180814] Re: Gutsy upgrade to Hardy Alpha 2 broke mythfrontend video playback
I upgraded to 8.04 over the weekend, so I am able to test this bug again on the same hardware that prompted the original bug report. The video and audio stuttering is not as bad as it was in Alpha 2, but it's still present. Per Jake Anderson, I tried disabling OpenGL sync in the MythTV options (no other changes). This fixed the problem; video is now watchable. Upstream bug #4764 may account for others' problems, but I doubt it was the cause of my original report as it was traced to a commit (16234) that happened weeks after I reported my problems. [Bug 180814] Gutsy upgrade to Hardy Alpha 2 broke mythfrontend video playback
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mythtv I upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy Alpha 2 on a dedicated MythTV frontend client. Now mythfrontend plays video in a stop-and-go fashion (i.e., about a second of video and audio, then a black screen and no sound for a few seconds, another second of video and audio, etc.). I was successfully using the ffmpeg library and OpenGL with the intel video drivers in Gutsy. Configuration has not changed except for dist- upgrade. Monitoring the console when the problem occurs, I can see that something is wrong, but can't figure out what it means. See output cut-and-paste below.
