[Bug 112465] Re: restricted != nesvobodný - > uzavřený
-- restricted != nesvobodný -> uzavřený https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112465 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 96475] Re: Beryl manager ignores settings.
Apparently, the settings I make regarding the Close/Create effects stick until I switch on 'transparent cube', in which case they are reverted to fade in/out even though beryl settings manager claims it is set to glide. [Bug 96475] Beryl manager ignores settings.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: beryl-manager I had a fresh install of Edgy, upgraded to Feisty. After a bit of fiddling with 3D drivers, I installed beryl on AIGLX. It worked nicely. However, I imported an old exported set of settings (attached) from the previous install, where I had the same problem since 0.2.0. Only some settings are affected. [Bug 65579] Re: Administrator of Ubuntu Czech Translators destroys dictionary for translators by providing less suitable and unnatural translation
None the less, there wasn't a single person who would share the view of Petr Tomeš, who, the then-admin of the translation team, added his translation to the dictionary with a 'we won't discuss this' notice, which many of us considered inappropriate. Petr, your qualification is of no use to us, since you have refused to participate on the project any more. And from my PoV, it was because you weren't allowed to push your opinion over the consensus of everyone else present. There is no current leader of the translation, and neither of the two Czech Ubuntu Members (ondrej the admin and I) unfortunately have the time to take up this position. The team is, however, handling the sudden disappearance of the leader quite well and they seem to be working together well. I believe a competent person will step up sooner or later to take the lead of the team. [Bug 49222] Re: Screensaver password dialog does not indicate keyboard layout
Update to the above: A different user on the same computer with standard keyboard settings has the problem too. No way the pass can be entered. [Bug 49222] Re: Screensaver password dialog does not indicate keyboard layout
I think my problem is very related: I use a modified dvorak keyboard (as a non-english speaker) to avoid keyboard switching (with xmodmap). My password uses the same keys on both that and the default dvorak layout, which is the system default. However, when the screen locks, it refuses to let me back in no matter what I try. I consider this a very serious bug. I can confirm the bug directly too - when I have someone else using my PC, I need to xmodmap to their layout... but when the screen locks, we have a problem: I know the password, they know the layout. [Bug 62443] Re: Ubuntu GNU/Linux, drafts for correct formulations
The official name is 'Ubuntu' and 'Linux' only appears in the tagline. We give credit to both the FSF and Linus (and the team), but not necessarily in the name. The tagline uses 'Linux' for practical purposes, as it is easy for the afore mentioned beings to identify. It is very unfortunate that they are not very aware of what the GNU is and what it stands for, but perhaps Ubuntu should help the cause elsewhere. Using 'GNU/Linux' instead of 'Linux' where 'Linux' serves the purpose better will probably not do the trick. -- Ubuntu GNU/Linux, drafts for correct formulations https://launchpad.net/bugs/62443 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
