[Bug 1598300] Re: CUPS web interface stops responding after a while

2017-07-17 Thread KWAndi
It took me a day to find out why our Java App stop printing after a
while and cupsd is gone without a notification at all. Could please
someone explain why the "cupsd -l" should be useful at all?

Thanks

[Bug 1066464] Re: Please patch xserver-xorg-video-sis (was: SiS driver crashes Xserver with EXA acceleration)

2014-05-03 Thread KWAndi
Hello,

There are still problems with this nasty SiS driver. We have some
Laptops with SiS 671/771 video cards and they load and use the driver,
but the only resolution chooseable is 640x480 while the native Display
has 1280x800. This is with latest KUbuntu 14.04 and also with LUbuntu
14.04. Any idea how to get a useable display with SiS 671/771?

Thanks

[Bug 1078734] Re: Failed assertion during APPEND

Hello,

not sure if this fix is included in upstream Debian, nor how to check
:-(

If it should better get included there it would be nice to know how to
get it there. Any pointers available?

[Bug 1080664] [NEW] aacraid: Host adapter reset request. SCSI hang?

2012-11-19 Thread KWAndi
Public bug reported:

According to Adaptec timeout values for the SCSI subsystem have changed
which lead to Adaptec RAID cards reset and system stall. Information
from Adaptec is here:

http://ask.adaptec.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15357/

This should be fixed by using the latest Controller Firmware *and* the
aacraid driver with at least version 1.1.7-28700 which is until now not
included in Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.

http://ask.adaptec.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17151/

modinfo from Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS for aacraid:

filename:
/lib/modules/3.2.0-32-generic/kernel/drivers/scsi/aacraid/aacraid.ko
version:1.1-7[28000]-ms
license:GPL
description:Dell PERC2, 2/Si, 3/Si, 3/Di, Adaptec Advanced Raid Products,
HP NetRAID-4M, IBM ServeRAID ICP SCSI driver
author: Red Hat Inc and Adaptec
srcversion: 63B4A0A58E70490A711134A

Please update the aacraid at least for the server releases.

Public bug reported:

Find out by using the following setup:
Windows Domain Controller, Ubuntu 9.10 as member server which has succesfully
joined the domain. A share with some domain users mapped to unix account with
username map does not work anymore with NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE.

This bug is fixed in Samba 3.4.1 according to

Installing your kernel 2.6.24-24-server fixed the problem with the

fine as it should. How can one get a notify if the fix is getting in the

 Hi,

I've built another kernel linux - 2.6.24-20.37cking4 which is available

reference sake, the commits including in this build are as follows:

Hmm...
I tried with apt-get upgrade but get no new kernel offered??

How is it possible to access the new version from a (test-)machine
which have already installed the previous test versions?

Many thanks for your efforts
