[Bug 1046507] Re: brcmsmac produces lots of warnings and reduced network bandwidth on macbook air
With the patch I had posted earlier, ieee80211 phy0: brcms_ops_config: Error setting power_level error messages have disappeared completely. It also caused the frequency of ieee80211 phy0: brcms_c_prec_enq_head: No where to go, prec == 4 messages to drop significantly, until last night when dmesg was suddenly flooded with these messages (one every 2 seconds). Network connection stopped working at this point. Disconnecting from AP and reconnecting fixed the problem. So, the problem is not solved fully yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1046507 Title: brcmsmac produces lots of warnings and reduced network bandwidth on macbook air To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1046507/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1046507] Re: brcmsmac produces lots of warnings and reduced network bandwidth on macbook air
I was seeing similar issues with brcmsmac driver on my HP Slate 500 with 3.5.0-25-generic kernel. I was seeing lots of messages like - ieee80211 phy0: brcms_ops_config: Error setting power_level, and ieee80211 phy0: brcms_c_prec_enq_head: No where to go, prec == 4. My network connection was slow and system would freeze for a couple of second from time to time. All these problems were resolved with the attached upstream patch. After building a 3.5.0-25-generic kernel patched with this patch, I am no longer seeing these error message or any slowdowns. ** Patch added: Upstream patch to brcmsmac driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1046507/+attachment/3581618/+files/0001-brcmsmac-fix-mismatch-in-number-of-custom-regulatory.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1046507 Title: brcmsmac produces lots of warnings and reduced network bandwidth on macbook air To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1046507/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1066480] Re: 12.10 installer don't show encrypted partitions
Workaround in the release notes for this bug does not work.
