[Bug 1884940] Re: after login to gnome, kern.log slowly fills with snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: No response from codec

2020-07-10 Thread Leimar
Try creating the file audio_powersave.conf in /etc/modprobe.d/ and add
"options snd_hda_intel power_save=0" to this file (without quotation).
This fixed this issue for me.

After some time using the computer, the context menu suddenly opens and
then the touchpad left button starts acting like the right button (left
button starts opening the context menu instead of clicking). Looking at
Xorg.0.log, I can see some "kernel bug" messages related to the
touchpad. On dmesg, there is some error messages related to the touchpad

[Bug 1872738] Re: No icons in Ubuntu-mate menus

2020-04-14 Thread Leimar
Seems like the problem is with language support. In live session
(English), the icons appeared. So I changed the language in normal
session from Brazilian Portuguese to English and the icons appeared.

[Bug 1862980] Re: i2c-HTIX5288:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report

2020-02-27 Thread Leimar
Yes. I used the computer most of the day yesterday and didn't see any
"lost arbitration" or "transfer terminated early" messages. But today,
when the system booted, the touchpad did not work. Even running "sudo
rmmod i2c-hid && sudo modprobe i2c-hid" the touchpad did not work.

Some error messages have gone away, but the left button is still bugged.
I found that setting the mouse click emulation to fingers in Gnome
Tweaks make the bug imperceptible, so that's what I'm going to do now.

[Bug 1862980] Re: i2c-HTIX5288:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report

2020-02-25 Thread Leimar
When the system boots everything works fine. After a few time, the context menu
open as if I had right-clicked and the left button starts to act like the right
button. When it occurs, there is some messages in dmesg like:
 i2c_designware i2c_designware.7: i2c_dw_handle_tx_abort: lost arbitration
i2c_designware i2c_designware.7: transfer terminated early - interrupt latency
too high?

So, I think the problem is related to i2c-designware-pci.
