[Bug 1849542] [NEW] Thunderbird empty after update to 19.10

2019-10-23 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Public bug reported:

HELP

Just performed an upgrade from Ubuntu 19.04 to 19.10. Launched
Thunderbird and the interface is empty. No emails, no folders, no
calendar, I can't even open the "account settings" window.

This is a complete disaster. I need thunderbird for my work.

If I launch TB form terminal I get this:

[Bug 1769358] [NEW] Thumbnail previews in Files/Nautilus only show when zoom is 150% or more

2018-05-05 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Nautilus package: 1:3.26.3-0ubuntu4

I don't get thumbnail previews in Files (Nautilus) at the default zoom
level when using List view.

If I select 150% in the hamburger menu the thumbnails are displayed, and
they are displayed in Grid view at all sizes. They are also displayed in
the Open File dialog, even though the icon size there is smaller than in
Files!

[Bug 1161140] Re: Total bad system crash

2013-04-02 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Okay, I tested the mainstream kernel.

I can't say if it solves or not the bug since ubuntu is not usable with the
mainstream kernel :
- no unity interface (only the desktop)
- I get a black screen if I do ctrl+alt+f1 to f6
- my fan is at top speed (bug related to that :
http://askubuntu.com/questions/203232/radeon-hd-2000-3000-4000-on-12-10-quantal-fglrx-legacy-12-6-unsupported-wh/209648#209648)

Since my computer is my working computer and the system crash occurs in
unexpected moments (between 0 and 3 times a day), I can't wait until the
system crashes.

[Bug 1161140] [NEW] Total bad system crash

2013-03-27 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Public bug reported:

Several times a day, randomly, the system crashes :
First the system begins to be slow. the mouse still moves, but clicks have no
effect.
A few seconds later, the hard drive activity led is lighted and stays on.
And a few seconds later, the mouse totally blocks. I can't do anything, the
capslock led flickers.
I have to hard reboot.

[Bug 1068654] Re: Computer fan always on since upgrade to 12.10

2012-10-21 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Same behavior between 3.7.0-030700rc1 (upstream), 3.5.0-17 (Quantal) and
3.2.0-32 (Precise) : computer is silent, and then the fan goes strongly,
and then silence, and fan ... an so on. Like if there was no
intermediate fan speed. Even in the login page without doing anything.

I am thinking about reinstalling Precise, but I begin to wonder if my
hardware has a problem or not.

If I boot from Precise live usb and I see I don't have this fan problem,
will it mean that I will not have the fan problem with Precise installed
?

Done.
I have the same behavior between 3.7.0-030700rc1 and 3.5.0-17 :
- I open a session I open a terminal and do 'uname -r' to verify which kernel I
am using and I wait
- the fan makes some noise
- and the stops after 1 or 2 minutes
- total silence during some 30secs

** Description changed:

I just upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10 and now my laptop fan is always on, even
when my CPU usage is less than 5%.
Before I upgraded, when I was not using a lot of CPU, my laptop was
completely silent.

[Bug 1068654] Re: Computer fan always on since upgrade to 12.10

2012-10-19 Thread Loïc Alejandro
I had to uninstall fglrx because of a running in low graphics mode problem
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/1068644).
Can it be linked with the fan problem ?

[Bug 1059155] [NEW] Ubuntu crashes (after resuming from sleep mode I think)

2012-09-30 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Public bug reported:

Many times (3 times a week approx), ubuntu crashes.
It looks like it's after resuming from sleep mode. Some minutes after or some
hours later.
The windows just get gray, I can move the mouse but clicks have no effect, and
then after some seconds it's all freezed, mouse don't move.
Sometimes when I have time to do a ctrl+alt+f1 before it totally freezes, I can
see messages talking about some ATA1.
I have to hard reboot pushing several seconds the start button of my keyboard.

I don't know how I can supply more information since when it crashes,
the computer is totally unusable :/

Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

I am not sure this is related to Linux package but I don't know to which
package attach this bug.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)

2012-09-30 Thread Loïc Alejandro
I have a flash disk hard drive (don't know if it's relevant).
And sometimes, while I am doing things on the computer, the whole HD gets in
read only mode. Don't know if it can be related to the crashes.

[Bug 1056773] [NEW] can't resize left column/right column with the new scroll system !

2012-09-26 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Public bug reported:

The new scroll system makes very very very difficult the resizing of the
left right columns in nautilus.

Description:Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release:12.04
nautilus:
  Installé : 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu4

Each time I approach the mouse to the separation between left and right
columns of nautilus, the scrollbar comes and I can't resize.

This new scrolling system is funny and nice, but not efficient.

[Bug 1056773] Re: can't resize left column/right column with the new scroll system !

2012-09-26 Thread Loïc Alejandro
Hi, ok I see. Thanks for your answer.
The problem is that the line seems to be 1px width. Which makes it very
difficult to catch. I hardly notice that the cursor changes when I pass over
the line.
