[Bug 1598584] Re: wifi slows to a crawl when bluetooth is enabled
I have also heard other experts say this. And that the problem might be more pronounced in mediatek devices. That would suggest that solving this might not be possible from within UT. But in that case we would need some one to confirm that using BT and wifi together on -for example- the M10 running android has the same issue. If not, this should be fixable. And at the risk of stating the obvious, I would add that in the context of convergence, having this working properly is pretty essential because users connecting mice/keyboards is almost a given. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1598584 Title: wifi slows to a crawl when bluetooth is enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/arale/+bug/1598584/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1624944] [NEW] ui not responding correctly to stail/outdated creds for wpa/wpa2 enterprise connections
Public bug reported: os: Ubuntu-touch rc-proposed (r530) device: Nexus4-Mako (but can be reproduces on Bq Aquaris M10) When one is in range of a previously stored enterprise wifi connection, but the credentials are known to be stail/outdated, upon connecting to that network, the list-item of the selected connection will show as 'connected'. This is ofcourse not actually true. This can be done both in system-settings --> Wifi and in the dropdownlist of available connections. [Bug 1460301] Re: [Dialer] Incoming call - no info which SIM card was called (dual SIM)
I filed a similar bug against dialer-app the other day before I saw this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dialer-app/+bug/1469467 (now marked as duplicate) In that bug I added two more fr's that I believe also to be useful in this context. those additions are: : 1) in the recent calls panel of the dialer-app, each missed/incoming call should show to which of the two sims a call was made. When this is realised, it should then by default select that same sim to call back in the dialer panel when that phone number is selected from missed calls. 2) Also useful would be to have a UI where a user could add an alias to each sim, which would then be used in the dialer-app (or even system- wide) to replace sim 1 and sim 2. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1460301 Title: [Dialer] Incoming call - no info which SIM card was called (dual SIM) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1460301/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

hi Paco, Thanks for reporting this! However this bug is old and specifically related to the Galaxy Nexus (Maguro) phone. Although your report sounds similar, I believe it needs either a new bug or should be added to a currentlu active bug thread (also depending what device you are using). There are a few issues with mobile data on both aquaris and nexus at the moment. Your issue might be related to them (so maybe not related to roaming at all). Best thing to do is call out on IRC #ubuntu-touch to the developers of this part of ubuntu touch and decide with them if it needs a new bu or adding a +1 to an existing one. [Bug 1389028] Re: u1 account crashes and gets removed when installing app
Sorry but I can not agree with the analyses. As I said (#16), the issue remains after the duplicate token was resolved. Also Alberto's take just does not fly (the assumption that the U1 account never was properly created), because how else could I install every other app from the store? I do not like to waste anyone’s time and I can see that when no one else is reporting this, It seems kind of flaky. Yet I can still reproduce this issue consistently to this day: My U1 account works fine and I can do anything one should expect it to do. Except that installing a couple of very specific apps cause U1 to crash(or at least for all intents and purposes, be deleted from the phone). The consistency just does not add up to some fluke occurrence. I am replying especially again because -if this is indeed an issue with merrit- the implications may just be big. (U1 accounts in relation to the clickstore in certain cases can not guarantee cardinality) I will continue to provide whatever is needed if some one asks, but will not pursue it any more myself. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1389028 Title: u1 account crashes and gets removed when installing app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts/+bug/1389028/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1389028] Re: u1 account crashes and gets removed when installing app
Spoken too soon. I am again hit by this bug. This time it is triggered by the 'Marktplaats WebApp' clickstore app. Again consistently so. But the first app that triggered it is also doing it (again). So now I have 2 html5 apps that are doing this. Of course I checked for duplicate registration of my U1 account for ubuntu one @ ubuntu phablet. But that is not the case this time. I also deleted the one registration that was there, logged off from ubuntu one web-login, registered my U1 account on the device, but the same thing keeps happening. We previously assumed that the corrupt U1 account caused this, but now i am thinking the reverse: for some reason, getting these apps from the clickstore causes U1 to get corrupted.
@dobey correct. Again: I haven't tried every app in the store. not by a stretch but I try and install what looks decent on and off. I accidentally hit this bug. @mardy: it stays on the providers list. I then go manually back to the installed accounts list. And the U1 account is there. I videod the whole thing so you have a better understanding of what happens and maybe spot something odd. However be aware that the quality is somewhat less then stellar :) It starts with me adding the U1 account, then go to grooveshark to install. you will see that the U1 account gets bumped instantly. the vid is here: http://37.251.54.131/owncloud/public.php?service=filest=3d71b366b075aa485eec034c85323e5f -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1389028 Title: u1 account crashes and gets removed when installing app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts/+bug/1389028/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Resolved This was indeed caused by a corrupt U1 account. haha I thought I was going mad! No worries though. So here is what was logged when my U1 account gets added to online accounts: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/9134361/ So I can't tell if there is anything worrysome in there. from the outside it always looks like my account gets created ok. But when after that, I go and install Grooveshark, My U1 account gets removed from online accounts like I described in the original report. Actually, I don't even care about the grooveshark app. But when -at least in some cases- an app is able to take down online accounts, that would seem less then desirable. [Bug 1389028] Re: u1 account crashes and gets removed when installing app
I am completely stumped by this. for sure I am missing something absolutely obvious, I just cant think what. pkilling the process and then starting it again does not help. online-accounts-service still seems to timeout(or crash) after a couple of seconds. It will simply not output to screen nor log to file. here are my futile attemps to get some clearity: So I suddenly noticed that the underscores were missing in the export commands in the terminal app, even though I was typing them. Discussed that bug with swordfish90 and he assumed that that was caused by a font problem. Shouldnt impact on the actual commands pushed. So i did file a bug for that. Getting back to this problem, I wanted to be sure that the terminal bug wasnt causing the log commands to fail. So I adb shelled into my device and even ssh-ed into it to run the commands but always with the same result. I considered that maybe this was a authorization problem. Although I was always in developer mode. So I also remembered your initial thought that maybe some files or the filesystem got corrupted. In light of a couple of bugs of that nature recently, I needed to rule that out. So i reflashed my device using the --wipe options. But still I could trigger the bug and consistenly so. In the meantime rtm had got some new images promoted but on all those still the bug remains. I finally did another --wipe install but changed to rtm-proposed channel. Still the bug is there. The weirdest thing is that I am apparently the only one that is hit by this bug. If that is so, then it almost seems to me that my U1 account is corrupted(is that even possible?). I dont'really know what I can do now as I can't seem to generate logfiles for this one. Any ideas :) ?

The output just may be telling because the value for MobileNetworkCode is 08 under NetworkRegistration (rather than 12 as Tony Espy expected, allthough the value for MobileNetworkCode under SimManager is 12 ) I have extracted the entire output of this script. it is here: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7030507/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1281848 Title: Cellular dataroaming fails on Ubuntu phone(Maguro) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1281848/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1281848] [NEW] Cellular dataroaming fails on Ubuntu phone(Maguro)
Public bug reported: short description: I was in Switserland recently using Maguro with a sim from my dutch provider. I was expecting to be able to establish a data connection through a local swiss provider when I enabled(toggled) both Cellular data and Data roaming. However, this did not work. No internet connection was created. (To make sure, I checked that on an Android phone, using the same sim, this did work) As I am lazy :) and this has been discussed on the Ubuntu-phone mailing list, I will copy the final part of that thread below for full details: I live in holland and have a dutch carrier sim. I was in Switserland last week of januari (fully updated the phone before I left so I would have been on something like r150, if thats important). Yes, in general build numbers are helpful whenever discussing such issues. /Can you clarify what you mean by But when selected, no data connection is created? Did you mean that when both cellular data and data roaming are selected,/ Yes, thats what I did exactly. The local carrier that always appeared automatically behind the 'carrier' label on the Cellular tab of system settings was 'Swisscom'.And If i remember correctly, the name of my Dutch provider appeared behind it in parantheses. (I am back home now so I am not able to replicate this behavior atm) OK /or are you referring to selecting a carrier/ No. That did not work. Refreshing the list of available carriers manualy resulted in a continiously spinning wheel and not much else, if I am not mistaken. Also good to know. We've been looking at the various devices and maguro seems to be a bit broken with regards to operator scanning. /One question, do you know whether or not your SIM card is from a primary operator ( eg. Orange, T-Mobile US, Telefonica, ... ) or a MVNO ( eg. Straightalk in the US )?/ I am not quite sure: My dutch carrier is Telfort. It is a subbrand of KPN Mobile, which is a primary operator. Seeing as Telfort is just a brand owned by KPN, you might expect it to also be recognized as a primary operator, but that probably depends on how they implemented the Telfort network within KPN. I don't know enough about that. I guess in hindsight, it's not that critical when roaming. One last question, if you run the script: /usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems Can you check the MobileCountryCode and MobileNetworkCode listed under the NetworkRegistration interface? Do the value s MCC = 204 MNC = 12 /Lastly, ofono logs messages to the standard syslog ( /var/log/syslog ). The command grep ofonod /var/log/syslog is a quick way to extract these messages, which can be very useful when diagnosing telephony problems./ Grep ofonod gets a lot of info. I am afraid I am not a good enough judge on which bits are relevant so I will gladly leave that up to you and others :) . I have extracted the entire syslog for the relevant period and posted it for you guys to have a go at it if you feel like. Here is the link: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6957213/ The log will show that I tried to set up a cellular data connection many times. As said, this failed every time. Hopefully someone can confirm (or deny) this. Re: [Bug 1247694] Re: screen brighness adjusts itself constantly
This is the merge that Seth Forshee was refering to as well? In that case, I would love to see this merged then. Not 100% sure if it will solve my issue, but it seems likely. And there is no doubt that that feature is needed regardless. [Bug 1247694] Re: screen brighness adjusts itself constantly
@pat-mcgowan So you are saying that when my screen dims instantly, it would be caused by default autobrightness behaviuor? I have considered that but I cant really support that assumption. it seems to do this under any given lighting condition. Also, if your assuption of the cause of this is correct, Inactivity timeouts indeed have nothing to do with this issue. I see inactivity kicking like clockwork at about 40 secs (is that the default currently?). It would be nice to get a ui control for this but that is unrelated. If Unity (8 I presume?) will be solving this, thats great. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247694 Title: screen brighness adjusts itself constantly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/powerd/+bug/1247694/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

@mhall119 Thats weird, I thought it was gone. I havn't been running touch for a couple of weeks now but I will do a fresh install later today and check this. [Bug 1244176] Re: Server 13.10 Install Fails with USB Keyboard (Appears to Hang)
Problem persists confirmed on both 13.10 and 14.04 dailys. So I am not really getting what the scenario is to get this fix into a stable ISO: Do I understand correctly that 13.10 won't be respun because of this? Does that mean that to get a supported Ubuntu server ISO that can be installed, we will have to wait for Trusty? And if so: when will this be introduced into the dailys? Secondly it is also not clear to me if this is restricted to certain keyboards or all? Debian testing seems to sugest some usb keyboards work: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=726957#17 But that seems weird to me since CONFIG_USB_OHCI_HCD_PCI looks to me like a generic parameter. Re: [Bug 1247694] Re: screen brighness adjusts itself constantly
Correct. I happened to flash to 14.04 (r. 32) yesterday. I no longer see this happening. I consider this bug resolved. I do still see some other issues related with power management but I will file new bug rep after testing a bit more. Thnks.
