Lenovo T510 here too. I think I remember reading somewhere that it might be caused by a chip which can be configured to report the battery parameters in either watt- hours or amp-hours, and somewhere along the line the units get confused or the chip is changed from one unit to another. For me, both trackpad and trackpoint are unresponsive for 5-10 seconds after resume, as per the original bugreport Additionally, on about half my resumes, the trackpoint (and associated buttons) don't work at all, but the trackpad does. My usual workaround for this is to sleep and resume the computer again, which usually works - sometimes two goes are necessary.
