[Bug 927284] Re: BUG: Bad page map in process firefox pte:0f544065 pmd:216e2067

2012-04-09 Thread Miia Ranta
the Launchpad bug #976450 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/976450) was
marked as a duplicate of this bug, and I experienced the kernel oops
with kernel version of 3.2.0-22.35-generic, so I assume this confirms
the bug? I'll try the latest vanilla kernel from the kernel.ubuntu.com
and report my findings - I do not have any idea how to replicate the
kerneloops though.

2009-11-27 Thread Miia Ranta
excuse me, but this is totally the wrong place to discuss Flash
installation. This is a bug report about Gender conventions notice in
documents, not a general place to discuss any bug in Ubuntu. For
documentation about Flash in Ubuntu, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/Flash, and if you
have problems with the installation, see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/Flash#flashtrouble.
Thank you!

[Bug 296895] [NEW] please sync package zebra from Debian sid

2008-11-11 Thread Miia Ranta
Public bug reported:

Please sync application Zebra,
http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/zebra from Debian sid to Ubuntu.

http://zebra.sourceforge.net/

The zebra barcode reader is a small, layered bar code scanning and
decoding library implemented in C (C++ wrappers are also provided). It
supports many popular symbologies (types of barcodes):

* EAN-13/UPC-A
* UPC-E
* EAN-8
* Code 128
* Code 39

[Bug 260754] [NEW] [Wishlist] scmpd packaged

2008-08-23 Thread Miia Ranta
Public bug reported:

http://scmpc.berlios.de/

Another one?', I hear you cry? Yes, I know about mpdscribble, but it doesn't do
entirely what I want it to. It doesn't run as a daemon, for example, and it
currently doesn't work if you enable crossfading in MPD. I didn't add the
support for these in mpdscribble, partly because GNU coding style scares me,
and I got slightly lost in the source code, but also because I created this as
a way of teaching myself C programming. scmpc is also very different to
mpdscribble internally because I made it multithreaded, whereas mpdscribble is
not.
Features

* Can be run as a daemon, either as a user or as root.
* Keeps unsubmitted songs in a queue which is saved to a file at a
configurable interval.
* Will try to reconnect to MPD and Audioscrobbler if the network connection
fails.
* Works with a password-protected MPD server.
* Works when crossfading is enabled.

LICENCE: GPL

[Bug 236595] [NEW] request for packaging: ThinkingRock

2008-06-01 Thread Miia Ranta
Public bug reported:

website of the software: http://www.thinkingrock.com.au/

Quoting from the website:
Thinking Rock is a free software application for collecting and processing
your thoughts following the GTD methodology. It is simple and easy to use - see
our demos and manual.

A lot of our mental energy is directed towards trying to remember and
manage all the things that we want or need to do. Thinking Rock will
allow you to clear your mind so that you can become more proactive and
concentrate on what is important to you.

Thinking Rock allows you to collect your thoughts and process them into
actions, projects, reference items or someday/maybe items. Actions can
be done by you, delegated to someone else or scheduled for a particular
date. Projects can be organised with ordered actions and sub-projects.
You can review all of your actions, projects and other information
quickly and easily to see what you need to do or to choose what you want
to do at a particular time.

The application is licenced with CDDL.

[Bug 235983] [NEW] odd behaviour with overly long lines in irssi

2008-05-30 Thread Miia Ranta
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: screen

Description:
Overly long lines not to wrap correctly and making the content of the irssi
window previously visited to leak where the wrapped line should continue to.
This leaked text can be copypasted, but it wanishes if the screen is redrawn
with ctrl-l.

server running irssi in screen:
xen virtualized Ubuntu, upgraded from Dapper LTS to Hardy LTS,

Linux myrtti.fi 2.6.19-4-server #2 SMP Sat Oct 6 01:59:49 UTC 2007 i686
GNU/Linux
Description:Ubuntu 8.04
screen 4.0.3-7ubuntu1
irssi 0.8.12-3ubuntu3

client computer running ssh-client connecting to the server:
Description:Ubuntu 8.04
Using xubuntu, enabled fglrx, hardy-proposed

happens with vte's like:
* Terminator 0.9 bzr 306
* xfce4-terminal  0.2.8-4ubuntu1
* tilda 0.09.4+cvs20071012-1
* eterm 0.9.4.0debian1-2ubuntu3

DOESN'T HAPPEN if:
server running irssi/screen is
Linux kengu 2.6.24-12-generic #1 SMP Wed Mar 12 23:01:54 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
screen 4.0.3-7ubuntu1
irssi 0.8.12-3ubuntu3

Expected:
URL's and long lines wrap up nicely, url's are clickable, no information leaks
from previous windows to the current one.

Happens instead:
see attachment files

[10:43] +Myrtti it really freaks me out to see confidential text mixed up
in a  casual conversation
[10:43] +Myrtti like so which venereal disease did you get from that idiot
on #ubuntu-offtopic

** Affects: screen (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

2008-04-18 Thread Miia Ranta
To duplicate the behaviour in the valgrind-log:
* log into several networks
* click your nick on the left side of the entry box
* set yourself away on all networks and change your nick.
