[Bug 2051999] Re: Grub2 2.06 has upstream bug that results in Non-booting with ZFS after snapshot of bpool.

2024-05-18 Thread Mike Ferreira
@mate ---

I checked the changelogs of the current Grub2 packages for Jammy.

I don't see patches for this issue yet. The last updates for Grub2
packages for Jammy were in April, and were for ARM, and a CVE security
update by you. Because that was "Security", I understand that those took
precedence.

But is now 2 months since then, with no updates/patches.

You said 2.12 was patched, but current Grub2 in Jammy is still
2.06-2ubuntu7.2 amd64...

Any expected timeline for Jammy?

[Bug 2051999] Re: Grub2 2.06 has upstream bug that results in Non-booting with ZFS after snapshot of bpool.

2024-05-18 Thread Mike Ferreira
Those compatibility flags, mirror the pool create options I noted
above... With doing a snapshot of bpool, and Send'ing it 'somewhere',
even if that was to a flash-drive... Destroying the original bpool,
recreate the new bpool, then Receive, the snapshot back to restore it,
does fix that with less than 2GB of storage.

That is just one work-around. I've started (manually) making bpool's 3GB
on ZFS-On-Root installs, to allow more room for my snapshots...

Upgrading Grub2 to 2.12, from 2.12rc and previous, fixes the problem
also. There is 3-4 work-around listed in this report that works.

Sideline Note: Someone (wprince) contacted me via email asking for assistance
on their company's production email server being affected by this bug. Which
means they are probably subscribed to this Bug Report... Hopefully you see
this. Your email address is gets a server error where the DNS record is missing
to that server. Cannot reply back unless you give me some alternate contact
info. tried. Sorry. Please try again.

[Bug 2063962] Re: 24.04 UEFI install fails, BIOS install succeeds

2024-04-28 Thread Mike Perrin
This seems to be unique to the Q1900M board. I cobbled together another
system with an ASRock 970 Extreme 3 motherboard, Athlon II CPU and 8GB
RAM and the MATE UEFI install succeeded. Conversely a UEFI install of
Lubuntu, which uses the Calamares installer also failed on the Q1900M
system. So I don't know what the problem is but I know some things it is
not. It is not the hard disk because the install failed with a different
one. It is not memory size because it failed when I borrowed a memory
stick from another machine to get 8GB on the Q1900M.

After making two backups of my home directory and the disk image of my
target machine (An ASRock J5040-ITX board) I worked up the courage to
try 24.04 MATE there and it succeeded. It appears this is a peculiar
problem with my Q1900M test box (which had no problems with previous
Ubuntu releases). If no one else is experiencing a similar problem I
suggest we chalk this one up to no-see-ums and forget it.

[Bug 2023630] Re: cups-browsed - AppArmor profile missing rights for "/run/systemd/resolve/io.systemd.Resolve"

2024-04-28 Thread Mike Vastola
I was able to get around this by running the following

$ sudo mkdir /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/nss-systemd.d
$ echo -e '# vim:syntax=apparmor\n\n  abi ,\n
@{run}/systemd/resolve/io.systemd.Resolve rw,' | sudo tee
/etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/nss-systemd.d/resolver
$ sudo systemctl reload apparmor

There may very well be better ways to do this, but this seems to work.

NB: FWIW, I believe this gives many applications the ability to use
systemd-resolved to resolve hostnames, but I can't imagine that being a
security issue.

[Bug 2063962] [NEW] 24.04 UEFI install fails, BIOS install succeeds

2024-04-27 Thread Mike Perrin
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu, Ubuntu-Cinnamon and Ubuntu-MATE all fail to install when using
UEFI but MATE succeeded when I tried a BIOS install. In all cases the
install selections were to take over the disk, minimal desktop and no
proprietary drivers or codecs. Hardware is an ASRock Q1900M Pro 3 quad
core Celeron board with 4GB RAM. Attached is a screenshot of the MATE
install log window when the failure occurred.

[Bug 1977491] [NEW] Update Samba in 22.04LTS to 4.15.7

2022-06-03 Thread Mike Silva
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, there is currently a regression in Samba 4.15.5 and
a new issue, both of which cause connection issues with macOS clients.
The regression causes segfaults with macOS client connections. The new
issue, breaks durable handles, which are crucial to Samba's support of
Time Machine over SMB (using vfs_fruit).

For the regression:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14900
For the new issue:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15022

This regression was fixed in Samba 4.15.6, see:
https://www.samba.org/samba/history/samba-4.15.6.html

The new issue in 4.15.7, see:
https://www.samba.org/samba/history/samba-4.15.7.html

** Affects: samba (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

Re: [Bug 1964652] Re: Settings program crashes intermittently. Will not shut down. Always happens when I am trying to set Wifi. Wifi does not start automatically

2022-05-15 Thread Mike Rehner
Unfortunately I wiped Ubuntu 20.04 and did a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04.
Ubuntu 22.04 did not have any problems setting wifi and the wifi connects
automatically to the hidden network.

Thank you for your response

Mike

[Bug 1970025] [NEW] Tried to update Snapd from the GUI, it logged me out

2022-04-23 Thread Mike Eichler
Public bug reported:

This is a fresh install of 22.04 on X86_64, with Nvidia drivers, running
X11 (can't get Wayland, but there already seems to be a bug report about
that)

Steps to reproduce
1. launched Software Updater from the dashboard
2. it asked to update snapd, I confirmed by click

After a second the screen turned all black and after another second I
was presented with the login screen

I logged back in, ran Software Updater, the system was up to date

[Bug 1969421] Re: 21.10 to 22.04 upgrade- package dpkg 1.21.1ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade

2022-04-19 Thread Mike
Ok I figured it out. You can close this ticket unless you think others
might encounter the same issue.

I must have followed instructions like at
https://wiki.aleen42.com/qa/dpkg.html to rename  /var/lib/dpkg/info to
/var/lib/dpkg/info.bak, and it was choking on the directory because head
can't operate on a directory. I moved /var/lib/dpkg/info.bak somewhere
else and it fixed the problem.

The post install script /var/lib/dpkg/info/dpkg.postinst contains the following
code that will choke if there is a directory in /var/lib/dpkg/info/:

fixup_misplaced_alternatives()
(
  admindir=${DPKG_ADMINDIR:-/var/lib/dpkg}

  cd "$admindir"

  for file in *; do
# Check whether this is a known file we do not want to act on.
case "$file" in
alternatives|\
arch|\
available|available-old|\
cmethopt|methlock|methods|\
diversions|diversions-old|\
info|parts|triggers|updates|\
lock|lock-frontend|\
statoverride|statoverride-old|\
status|status-old)
  # Ignore known files just to make sure.
  continue
  ;;
*)
esac

# Check whether the file looks like an alternative state file.
mode="$(head -1 "$file")"
case "$mode" in
auto|manual)
  # Looks like a state file, we will handle this one.
  echo "Moving misplaced alternative state file $admindir/$file..."
  mv "$file" "alternatives/$file"
  ;;
*)
  echo "warning: unknown dpkg database file $admindir/$file is not a
misplaced alternative state... leaving as is" 1>&2
  continue
  ;;
esac
  done
)

Public bug reported:

Decided to start my upgrade to 22.04 two days early (2022-04-19) from a

bug #1725476 generates "bug 1725476 cannot be found".It appears the
duplicate bug is #1724609.

[Bug 1964037] Re: gnome-shell crashes (fatal error logged in create_fallback_offscreen) when attempting to enable second monitor on second GPU (Nvidia >= 495) in a Wayland session

2022-03-25 Thread Mike Pontillo
Thanks for your attention to this bug, Daniel.

For the record, I don't think a set up like this is particularly weird;
I'm seeing this issue on a laptop with embedded NVIDIA graphics. The
"second video card", in my case, is the integrated Intel graphics card.

Also, I'm not sure if this is related, but yesterday I saw a regression
that caused my second monitor to fail; the only workaround I found was
to downgrade to nvidia-driver-470 from nvidia-driver-510. (That is,
nvidia-driver-510 wasn't causing me too much trouble when I first
installed Jammy from the March 21st image; it took a day or two of
updating, then started causing me issues yesterday .)

[Bug 1966318] [NEW] courier-mta rejects Yahoo mail with null MX dns records

2022-03-24 Thread Mike Wright
Public bug reported:

Builds from courier-mta sources prior to 2021 have two bugs:

1) parsing bug in the bofh badfrom check

2) rejects null MX records when validing the sending IP address against
the sender's HELO/EHLO identifier

#2 is causing Yahoo mail with null MX dns records to be rejected. Yahoo
is a major player in the email world and this should be considered a
priority

Recommend that new .deb binary be generated using courier-mta 2021
or later.

1) Bionic Beaver
2) courier-mta-0.78.0-2ubuntu2
3) expect all mail from Yahoo to be delivered
4) mail with null MX dns records are being rejected

** Affects: courier (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1965805] Re: Ubiquity failure - Error while installing packages Ubuntu Jammy

2022-03-23 Thread Mike Pontillo
Thanks for your attention.

For the record, I saw the same errors mentioned in this bug after the
Firefox install timed out, which is why I posted the screenshot. (I
thought it might provide additional detail about the root cause.)

After the snap install timed out, the entire install process aborted and
I had to manually revert the changes to the partition table.

(Also, I would personally consider it a bug if the installer cannot
gracefully handle the case where "the network is connected but the snap
store cannot be contacted".)

FYI: I was able to work around this by asking Ubiquity to do a minimal
install, not to download packages during install, and turning off WiFi
(just to be sure).

[Bug 1965805] Re: Ubiquity failure - Error while installing packages Ubuntu Jammy

2022-03-22 Thread Mike Pontillo
I'm seeing what might be the same issue with the Jammy live image.
Before I got the error, I saw that it was trying to install the Firefox
snap and was not able to reach the snap store. (For the record, the
machine _did_ have a network connection.)

[Bug 1959465] [NEW] Mudlet not respecting user-selected server data encoding setting

2022-01-28 Thread Mike VanCleave
Public bug reported:

When connecting to MUME with Force CHARSET negotiation enabled (box NOT
checked under Special settings), and UTF-8 selected for Server data
encoding in general settings, encoding is changed to ISO 8859-1 during
negotiation with the server. It appears that, during this negotiation,
the server offers several options, and Mudlet is choosing the first
compatible option in the list (ISO 8859-1) rather than the user selected
preference (UTF-8), which is also available.

I was able to use UTF-8 by turning Force CHARSET negotiation off and
manually setting UTF-8 in the MUD using the command line.

I think the expected behavior (at least the behavior I expected) is
that, if I have Force CHARSET negotiation on, and have chosen a
particular encoding, Mudlet would enforce that encoding with the server,
if it is available.

Here are the packets that are exchanged during the negotiation:

[Bug 1951733] Re: My screen freezes during a USB live session and I can't install Ubuntu

2021-11-21 Thread Mike Ferreira
I believe it to be a firmware issue... It should be move to another area
and filed against "something". This is not a question, nor a bug against
Launchpad...

This is a BUG.

But it "is" unknown just which piece, module, system, etc, "is" causing
his problem, to file it as a BUG against something specific. Please move
this to an appropriate place so that it does get attention, in some kind
of timely manner.

[Bug 1951733] Re: My screen freezes during a USB live session and I can't install Ubuntu

2021-11-21 Thread Mike Ferreira
This User needs to submit his logs and errors, and do any back-traces
you all think necessary. He has worked with us at UbuntuForums, it seems
to be a case were it occasionally gets an error where "it cannot claim a
resource." The specific errors that it is getting, on the hardware,
seems to affect. Some thoughts on this error vary from maybe being a
video issue, firmware, BIOS, the USB controller, etc.

This person's computer is "New and still under warranty." The Vendors
say that there is not a BIOS upgrade for it. The Vendor had him ship
back the computer to them, where they supposedly tested it extensively
"with Windows", but found no problem.

He can run 18.04 LTS... But has problems with anything newer.

I see this problem on the same or similar hardware, not just in Ubuntu,
but also in other Linux Distributions.

"I" asked this User to escalate his problem to Launchpad. Yes, he could
take this computer back and try to get his money back on it before the
warranty expires, but something it wrong that needs to be investigated
and resolved with this.

[Bug 1950492] Re: wifi stops working on Dell XPS 9310

2021-11-17 Thread Mike Lewis
This appears to be triggered by commit
4f73581836f031611b281c8c6017202f36afbf6b, the change is reported as a
bug in the 5.13 kernel as well and appears to have been brought into the
5.11 HWE kernel.

[Bug 1950492] Re: wifi stops working on Dell XPS 9310

2021-11-17 Thread Mike Lewis
Same problem here with Ubuntu 20.04 on a Dell XPS 15 9500, but in my
case it was triggered by update from kernel 5.11.0-38-generic to
5.11.0-40-generic.

Apt history shows the update as occurring last Friday morning, and the
next time I rebooted (the day after) the WiFi module stopped working,
message in dmesg as above. After the error, the WiFi module is not even
visible to the BIOS.

The only way to get the WiFi module to appear again is to remove the
back of the laptop and disconnect the battery, but if I boot Linux it
immediately is knocked out again.

[Bug 1574582] Re: HP lt4120 Snapdragon X5 LTE USB modem not recognized by network-manager

2021-11-15 Thread Mike
This is not a NetworkManager problem. It is also reported by me in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1950385
and it is probably kernel bug.
The problem is described by ModemManager's developer in our discussion:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager/-/issues/463#note_1157289
 as a broken USB communication.
According to diagnosis from kernel 5.1x the qmi_wwan module resets modem
firmware in endless loop:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mobile-broadband/ModemManager/-/issues/463#note_1157919
although it was worked flawlessly earlier in kernel 5.8.x

The workaround is to use udev script for a modem to switch it to the MBIM mode
which works ok under ModemManager & NetworkManager. Reboot. Recreate connection
profile for modem in Network Manager Mobile Broadband Settings for your GSM
Network Provider to make it binded with new MBiM devid config.
Tested on kernels 5.8, 5,11, 5.13.

Place the attached udev script file in: /etc/udev/rules.d instead of any
old one. It uses usb_modeswitch to do the "magic" correctly.

[Bug 1908429] Re: gnome-shell fills syslog: Attempting to run a JS callback during garbage collection. This is most likely caused by destroying a Clutter actor or GTK widget with ::destroy signal conn

2021-11-06 Thread Mike
I just got this on fully patched Ubuntu 21.10 (Kernel: 5.13.0-20-generic
x86_64, Gnome Shell package: 40.5-1ubuntu2, Gnome version 40.4.0,
Windowing System: Wayland, AMD A6 5400k processor with built-in Radeon
graphics)

I was watching a movie on VLC and noticed that performance was a bit
slow so I clicked the X to close the window. The window didn't
disappear- It froze. SSHing in, I found systemd-journald was taking up
all the CPU and an 11 GB /var/log/messages spamming with that same
message.

I ended up just rebooting the machine.

[Bug 1734147] Re: corrupted BIOS due to Intel SPI bug in kernel

2021-11-06 Thread Mike
** Description changed:

  An update to linux kernel on Ubuntu 17.10 that enabled the Intel SPI
  drivers results in a serial flash that is read only in Intel Broadwell
  and Haswell machines with serial flashes with SPI_NOR_HAS_LOCK set.
+
+ Warning: 32bit iso on sourceforge for boot-repair-disk still contains
+ unpatched Kernel. This is especially dangerous if boot-repair fails to
+ repair the system to a bootable state, as there will be no way of
+ applying the Fix detailed below.

  Symptoms:
   * BIOS settings cannot be saved
   * USB Boot impossible
   * EFI entries read-only.

  ---

  Fix: The issue was fixed in kernel version 4.13.0-21 by configuring the
  kernel so it is not compiled with Intel SPI support. But previous
  affected machines still suffered from a broken BIOS.

  Repair: If you still can boot into Ubuntu, you can recover your BIOS
  with the following steps:

  1. Boot into Ubuntu
  2. Download
http://people.canonical.com/~ypwong/lp1734147/linux-image-4.15.0-041500rc6-generic_4.15.0-041500rc6.201712312330+20170103+1_amd64.deb
  3. Install the downloaded package:
    $ sudo dpkg -i
linux-image-4.15.0-041500rc6-generic_4.15.0-041500rc6.201712312330+20170103+1_amd64.deb
  4. Make sure the kernel is installed without any error. Once installed,
reboot.
  5. At grub, choose the newly installed kernel. You can choose the "recovery"
mode.
  6. Reboot and go to BIOS settings to confirm your BIOS has been recovered.
  7. In case your BIOS is not recovered, reboot to the new kernel, then reboot
*once again* to the new kernel, do not enter BIOS settings before the reboot.
After the second reboot, check BIOS.
  8. If your BIOS issue remains, download another kernel from
http://people.canonical.com/~ypwong/lp1734147/linux-image-4.15.0-041500rc6-generic_4.15.0-041500rc6.201712312330+clear+debug_amd64.deb,
 and use dpkg to install it, then repeat steps 4 to 6.

  After your BIOS is fixed, the kernel packages you just installed are no
  longer needed, you can remove it by running 'sudo dpkg -r linux-
  image-4.15.0-041500rc6-generic'.

  The patch used to build the linux v4.15 kernel in step 8 can be found at
  https://goo.gl/xUKJFR.

  If you have applied updates, and find that you can not boot the above
  fixed kernel because of Secure Boot and that the kernel is unsigned, but
  can still boot another kernel for your system; here's what you can do:

  1) Download
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/uefi/grub2-amd64/current/grubx64.efi.signed:
  $ wget
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/uefi/grub2-amd64/current/grubx64.efi.signed

  2) Copy grubx64.efi.signed over /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi:
  $ sudo cp grubx64.efi.signed /boot/efi/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi

  3) Reboot; you should now be able to load the new unsigned kernel that
  allows fixing firmware / SPI.

  4) Once you're satisfied that things work; boot to Ubuntu with a
  standard, signed kernel, and re-install the right GRUB version for your
  system:

  $ sudo grub-install

  ---

  Test Case: Fix has been verified by our HWE team on affected hardware.

  Regression Potential: Minimal, it's unlikely anyone is actually doing
  anything which requires this driver.

[Bug 1734147] Re: corrupted BIOS due to Intel SPI bug in kernel

2021-11-04 Thread Mike Hehir
I used 32bit boot-repair-disk iso yesterday to try fix a grub problem.
Looks like it's built on unpatched Ubuntu 17.10. My bios is now corrupt
and unable to boot from USB, worse grub wasn't fixed so my tablet is now
a paperweight (maybe a powerbank, suppose it has some use. Fujitsu Q584
using InsydeH20 v5.0 bios.

Can't boot anything so only fix appears to involve a lot of soldering on
miniature components, not something I'd be confident doing. Really
disappointed Canonical consider this problem solved and have not done
more to remove unpatched Ubuntu from the wild.

I've read through all the comments and I don't see any fix that would
work in this circumstance. I know it's an old machine but was really
responsive and usable from my very brief experience on Linux. I'm
concerned others may try to revive old machines with Linux and suffer
same fate.

[Bug 1933716] Re: Black screen on boot after stable update

2021-10-24 Thread Mike E.
Just updated to 5.11.0-38-generic on my ProBook 450 G6 with an i7-8565U
processor and both displays are back to working again. On 20.04 focal.
5.11.0-37-generic did not work, so it was something that was part of the
-38 update that fixed the issue for me.

[Bug 1933716] Re: Black screen on boot after stable update

2021-08-31 Thread Mike E.
Just to add a little more information, I have the same issue with a HP
ProBook 450 G6 with an i7-8565U processor. I am running 20.04 and have
had to stick with the 5.8.0-55-generic kernel because anything newer
(e.g. 5.8.0-59-generic) causes this bug to rear its ugly head. I can
set GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset" in the /etc/default/grub file
and get the main monitor to display, but then external monitors no
longer work.

[Bug 1909005] Re: Ubuntu does not resume (wake up) from suspend

2021-08-26 Thread Mike Kordosky
I've attached the syslog. The suspend starts at 07:39 with a lid
closure. The resume starts at 08:36. This was presumably after I had to
hard power-cycle it because you can see the power-off. Various key-
presses and short presses on the power button just prior to 08:36
produced nothing in the log.

In fact, I had to hard reboot thee times to get the system back. It hung after
picking the kernel version in grub twice. One with a black screen. The other
with a Dell screen and with Ubuntu underneath and a rotating progress meter. I
don't see that screen on a normal boot.

[Bug 1909005] Re: Ubuntu does not resume (wake up) from suspend

2021-08-26 Thread Mike Kordosky
I have the same problem. There is no response to any key presses (no
fan, as others reported) and I have to hard restart with the power
button.

Dell Precision 7520
Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS
Quadro M2200 GPU
Nvidia driver 470.57.02
Kernel: 5.4.0-81-generic #91-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jul 15 19:09:17 UTC 2021 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

One note: I was able to fix this issue back in March of '21 by adding the
following to /etc/default/grub

#GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
#changed by me on 3/18/21
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash resume=UUID=ad19f24f-7458-4bf8-a5ab-108
8541c41c3"

This fix stopped working after a kernel/driver update in July '21. Not
sure which one.

This doesn't work:
# changed by me on 8/25/21
#GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nouveau.blacklist=1"

[Bug 1940006] Re: XFCE4-panel autohide delay

2021-08-15 Thread Mike Jelt
I found a solution.

Create a file:
 ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

Put this text in it:
#XfcePanelWindow {
-XfcePanelWindow-popup-delay: 0;
-XfcePanelWindow-popdown-delay: 0;
}

Now the delay is gone.

[Bug 1940006] [NEW] XFCE4-panel autohide delay

2021-08-15 Thread Mike Jelt
Public bug reported:

1)
System: Linux 5.11.0-25-generic x86_64 GNU/Linux
Distribution: XUbuntu 21.04

2)
package: xfce4-panel 4.16.2-1

xfce4-panel:
  Installiert:   4.16.2-1
  Installationskandidat: 4.16.2-1
  Versionstabelle:
 *** 4.16.2-1 500
500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hirsute/universe amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3)
Bug: The setting "Hide always" in the panel does not work like expected.
There is a delay of 2 seconds before the panel hide-process starts
(panel-animation of hiding).
Normally the time delay is nearly not noticeable.

4)
Description:
On a fresh installed XUbuntu 21.04 (or the live-system over a USB-Stick) I
changed the panel settings from "hide never" to "hide always".
In this "hide-always-Mode" the panel is waiting for approx. 2 seconds till it
starts to hide.

I want to set this hide-time to zero, but no success.

I could only set the animation-time for pop-up / pop-down to zero.
with: xfconf-query -n -c xfce4-panel -p /panels/panel-2/popdown-speed -t int -s 0

In the "Hide-auto-Mode" the panel disappear very fast. (But I need the
hide-always-mode.)

In the sources* I could find a "autohide_timeout_id", this sounds like
that the 2 seconds-delay could be set by this value, but I don't know
how to change this value in my system.

* https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/-/blob/master/panel/panel-
window.c

In XUbuntu 20.04 I did not had this problem with the panel.

[Bug 1922637] Re: held broken packages trying to upgrade from Groovy to Hirsute (Xubuntu, MATE)

2021-08-01 Thread Mike Kupfer
This morning I tried removing xubuntu-core and xubuntu-desktop. "apt
autoremove" showed nothing to remove. I ran "update-manager -d" and got
to the window with the summary of changes (number of MB to download,
etc). That is, I did not see the error that I get when ubuntu-mate-
core, ubuntu-mate-desktop, xubuntu-core, and xubuntu-desktop are all
installed.

** Summary changed:

- held broken packages trying to upgrade from Groovy to Hirsute (Xubuntu, MATE)
+ held broken packages trying to upgrade from Hirsute to Impish (Xubuntu, MATE)
