[Bug 937179] Re: horizontal scroll not working

2012-03-03 Thread Nuno Santos
@Jim Chatman: that's not exactly the same situation as me. I can't use
the horizontal scroll in any situation whatsover. Anyways, thanks for
bringing that up. Let's hope some more experinced user, reads this post
and maybe comes up with a solution.

Cheers

[Bug 937179] [NEW] horizontal scroll not working

2012-02-20 Thread Nuno Santos

Even though I have the "Enable horizontal scrolling" settings enabled on
the touchpad configurations it still doesn't work.

I have no problem with the 2-finger vertical scroll.

[Bug 909928] [NEW] [N82JV, Realtek ID 269, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2011-12-29 Thread Nuno Santos
Public bug reported:

When trying to get the mic to work
(Ihttps://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Asus_N82JV#Audio), I run these
commands:

tar xvf LinuxPkg_x.x
tar xvf alsa-driver-1.0.xx
cd alsa-driver-1.0.xx
./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
make
make install

The sound stopped working after that.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks.

[Bug 578200] Re: (megatec_usb) error: Driver not connected

2010-11-08 Thread Nuno Santos

Hi guys,

I'm using nut 2.4.3 in ubuntu 10.4 and I got the same problem. "Driver not
connected". Some times I got "Data stale" also.
Have you experienced that on these versions too? Have some of you solved the
issue?

Best regards,
Nuno

[Bug 120975] Re: Rhythmbox: Coverart-Plugin should have Option "Local Covers only"

2007-12-17 Thread Nuno Santos
What I usually do is find ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/covers and set its permissions to
"access files" only.
I realize it probably still downloads the covers, just doesnt save them, but
I'm rarely missing a "folder.jpg", so it only does that in extreme situations.
So if you're just trying to prevent it from downloading it accidentally (maybe
in the time it takes for you to put a better-looking, bigger cover in the album
directory), it works quite good.

I have a similar problem. Ever since I started using compiz, totem gets the

inverted (3:4 instead of 4:3).
Using up-to-date gutsy, nvidia drivers, and compiz.

[Bug 76283] Re: duplicate entries for devices in nautilus desktop

It got worse now, because a logout/login would fix it; unfortunately there's
another bug which prevents a proper login after a logout, so only a restart
fixes it for me now.

Well, I didn't say it crashed, it just skips the beginning of the tracks (1 or

Still using feisty (amd64) and amarok 1.4.7-0ubuntu1~feisty1 (backports).

[Bug 94539] Re: Amarok cuts first few seconds of the tracks

2007-03-22 Thread Nuno Santos
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: amarok

Amarok, when playing m4a audio files, cuts the first few seconds (or
milliseconds) of the tracks, with the crossfader turned off. If I turn
the crossfader on "manual track change only", it no longer cuts the
  beginning of the songs.

edit: Using feisty with amarok 1.4.5-0ubuntu6.
+ edit2: I forgot to mention it happens in between songs. If you change tracks
it doesnt happens, if you let the song play until the end, the first few
seconds of the next song in the playlist will be skipped.

2007-01-14 Thread Nuno Santos
I second that. I upgraded to feisty, and the partitions disappeared from
the desktop and places menu, although /etc/fstab remains unchanged and
the partitions are mounted correctly in /media. "sudo /etc/init.d/dbus
restart" makes them appear, but without the proper labels (they show
hda1, hda4, etc...)
