[Bug 1409879] Re: sponc can't be started: dependency libavg dropped gameapp
6 packages in total are affected (empcommand, magictouch, mttroff, multitet, planarity, sponc). I can take care of fixing the apps upstream, then it'll be just matter of updating the packages. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1409879 Title: sponc can't be started: dependency libavg dropped gameapp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libavg/+bug/1409879/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 899183] [NEW] Please upgrade to libavg v1.7.0
Public bug reported: libavg 1.7.0 - Oct 29, 2011 svn revision 6888, branch release1.7.x Bugfixes libavg 1.7.0.pre1 - Oct 29, 2011 svn revision 6871 Major New Features: * Expanded effects support: New HueSatFXNode and InvertFXNode by Richard Klemm, major speed improvements. * Polished multitouch gesture support. * New Contact class that delivers per-touch data, per-touch callbacks that make event handling a lot easier. * SVG support. * New BitmapManager that allows loading of bitmaps in a background thread (OXullo Intersecans). Other Changes: * Lots of performance optimizations. * Linux ATI graphics are supported now. * Major speed improvements to VideoWriter. Saving full HD videos is not a problem anymore and costs little performance for the main rendering thread. * Callbacks don't hold references to python objects anymore - this should make freeing nodes a lot easier. * New StateMachine class. * Added Player.getPixelsPerMM(), getPhysicalScreenDimensions(), assumePixelsPerMM() * Added touch feedback class. ** Affects: libavg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: OXullo Intersecans (oxullo) Status: New ** Tags: upgrade-software-version -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899183 Title: Please upgrade to libavg v1.7.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libavg/+bug/899183/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 807730] Re: empcommand segfaults at start
Dear Ronald, thanks for your report. The LD_PRELOAD workaround shouldn't be needed anymore, after the fix released for mesa package ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/259219 ). In particular, libstdc++.so.6 is preloaded anyway from the top level libavg python package. In addition, your attempt to preload fails, because the path to libstdc++.so is not correct. This bug is probably related to libavg more than empcommand itself, by the way, can you please: 1. run a gdb session and dump the backtrace: $ gdb python (gdb) run /usr/games/empcommand (gdb) bt 2. run this minimal snippet and see if you get a crash as well: $ python > import libavg > libavg.AVGApp.start(resolution=(640,480)) (in case you don't get the segv, you'll see a black window. Attempt to close the window (which won't close) and CTRL-D on the shell). [Bug 752924] [NEW] Setting CXXFLAGS drops the autoconf default "-g -O2"
Public bug reported: Since version 1.0.1-1ubuntu1, CXXFLAGS is set, in order to add a define (__STDC_CONSTANT_MACROS) to fix a FTBFS caused by ffmpeg-related libraries c++ compilation. This broke the expected behavior of AC_PROG_CXX macro, which sets CXXFLAGS to "-g -O2" when CXXFLAGS is unset [1]. In this way, libavg binaries are compiled with no optimizations, which may lead to unexpected behavior (under linux, libavg is extensively tested with -O2).
