I made a copy to image file of Fedora 21 beta LiveDVD. This is what I saw when DVD started to spin: ata5: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x400 action 0xe frozen ata5: irq_stat 0x0040, connection status changed ata5: SError: { DevExch } ata5: hard resetting link ata5: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) ata5: EH complete and this is what I saw when DVD stopped spinning: ata5: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x400 action 0xe frozen ata5: irq_stat 0x0040, connection status changed ata5: SError: { DevExch } ata5: hard resetting link ata5: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) ata5: EH complete It looked as if the logs were triggered by the DVD-RW drive. I haven't tested newer kernel yet, but already found another interesting thing. When I boot the system and use VLC to play media, no problem occurs. [Bug 669088] [NEW] Blank screen after installing nvidia-current drivers
Public bug reported: The only choice I had in Additional drivers was nvidia-current (at this time 260.19.06). [Bug 563878] Re: Ubuntu splashscreen big and ugly after installing ATI graphics driver
@Jeff Sereno Given that Lucid's total boot times have decreased to 9-15 seconds on the average modern system, that the splash screen is only on screen for a fraction of this time, and that the end-user will ultimately spend more time indulging the eye-candy of the desktop, I think this is a very low priority issue. In terms of my direct opinion over the low-res splash, I think the issue is more over the low colour depth rather than the low resolution. If it were an 8-bit depth, I think most people would overlook the low pixel resolution. I suggest you repro this bug with full-disk encryption setup. By it's nature you spend more time with splash than 9-15 secs. Open more than 7 windows. current result: Whole panel freezes and eats processor. expected result: Window list applet should neither freeze panel nor eat processor. in case of freeze: 1. Close few windows, so there are 7 o less opened. 2. Kill panel process, so it will be restarted without freeze. If step one is not done, the panel will restart back into freeze and still will eat processor. to prevent freeze: Use window menu applet instead of window list applet or do not open more than 7 windows at once. -- Window list applet freezes vertical gnome panel when more than 7 windows are opened at once. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313327 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 313357] [NEW] [Package request] BOUML is oudated
Public bug reported: Current version of BOUML is 4.9, but version in repo is 4.4.2. 4.4.2 is missing a lot of features and bugfixes. Bouml is the fastest and richest (yet not the most intuitive) open sourced UML tool I know, it has ability of reverse C++ code too. That's why it would be nice to have new version in repo. ** Affects: bouml (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Package request] BOUML is oudated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/313357 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
