[Bug 1901391] Re: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R screen recording not working anymore in 20.10 (Pipewire is now a requirement)
I'm on Ubuntu 21.04, upgraded to Gnome 40. My system should be fully up to date, but this problem is still there for me. Is this normal, or should the fix have reached my machine by now? I had the problem in 20.10 as well, though it worked on 20.04. Always in Wayland. When trying to run pipewire in the terminal I get the following error, which may or may not be related: ``` [E][02893.342993][module-protocol-native.c:578 lock_socket()] server 0x56383cd9dfe0: unable to lock lockfile '/run/user/1000/pipewire-0.lock': Resource temporarily unavailable (maybe another daemon is running) [E][02893.343190][conf.c:309 load_module()] config 0x56383cd834e0: could not load mandatory module "libpipewire-module-protocol-native": Resource temporarily unavailable [E][02893.343234][conf.c:383 create_object()] can't find factory spa-node-factory ``` -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1901391 Title: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R screen recording not working anymore in 20.10 (Pipewire is now a requirement) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1901391/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1920926] [NEW] "copy path" returns path with escape characters
Public bug reported: Special characters (at least spaces) are escaped with backslash when copying file paths in Nautilus. Say I have a PDF file named "date - document.pdf". [Bug 1876272] Re: GTK apps: Keyboard shortcuts not adapting non-Qwerty keyboard layout (Dvarok)
** Description changed: Hi, I recently started using Dvarok full time, and some (all GTK) software in Ubuntu fails to identify the changed layout when shortcuts (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + X, Ctrl + V etc) are pressed. For example, Ctrl + X makes text bold in Geary, as X is positioned where B would be in a Qwerty. In all GTK software Ctrl + V offers me to input emojis, but doesn't paste anything. Other software where I notice the same behaviour is Nautilus, the Gnome terminal, Ubuntu Software, Gnome Maps, Gnome Weather, Gnome Calendar, and the default Calculator. All non-gtk software behaves normally (such as Rstudio, LibreOffice, Atom, and FireFox). I'm currently running a Flatpak version of Geary installed in 18.04, while the rest are from default repositories. The behaviour is the same. Ctrl + Shift + C enters "^C" in the terminal, while Ctrl + Shift + J copies. I have rebooted the computer many times since switching to Dvarok. + EDIT: The issue is connected to Wayland - after switching to X all + applications behave normally. + Sorry for not knowing the appropriate place to lodge this bug, or if it's a duplicate. [Bug 1866194] Re: External audio device shows up in the sound output options but the sound keeps being emitted from the internal laptop speaker, or none at all.
Just noticed a typo in my previous comment, so to make it clear, deleting ~/.config/pulse did not work on my system. It worked fine in 19.10, after upgrade playback is sent to computer speakers even when a Bluetooth headset is connected and selected as output device. AUX works fine, so does Bluetooth media buttons. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866194 Title: External audio device shows up in the sound output options but the sound keeps being emitted from the internal laptop speaker, or none at all. Public bug reported: Full-day events jump a date back if edited and saved, even when no information about date or time is changed. Tested in local and Google calendars, happens in both. [Bug 1823573] Re: Bluetooth headset not available as output device
I can't seem to figure out how to boot to an older kernel on this laptop. Shift and Escape does noting, while the menus opened by F-buttons fail to give advanced boot settings. It's all within the UEFI safety net (which I kind of appreciate after years of BIOS trouble). I know I have old kernel versions installed (if dpkg --list | grep linux-image is anything to go by). If it's any help, pavucontrol also fails to detect the headset, while "bluetoothctl" returns "Agent registered // [Beoplay H8]#". So given that pavucontrol is completely separate from Gnome control center, this should not be a GUI problem? I'm sorry for not being more helpful! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823573 Title: Bluetooth headset not available as output device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1823573/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1823573] [NEW] Bluetooth headset not available as output device
Public bug reported: Connecting my Bluetooth headset (Beoplay H8) appears to be working, and everything looks correct in the Bluetooth settings: However, the headset is not listed under "Output devices" in the sound menu after connecting, and all sounds are channeled through the built-in speakers. Media buttons on the headset are also rendered useless, not that there would be much use for them without sound anyways. Still worth noting, as everything including media buttons worked perfectly in 18.10. [Bug 1823004] [NEW] Upgrade to 19.04 - cannot install 'install-info'
Public bug reported: I got an "could not install 'install-info'" warning at the end of my upgrade, with the details "triggers looping, abandoned". Then a new warning telling me that the upgrades could not be installed, that the system might be broken, and that it was running dpkg --configure -a. This happened at the very end of my upgrade. Things seem to be working nicely, even after rebooting, so the upgrade appears to have been successful. [Bug 599312] Re: MSN for Mac client invisible when comes online
I have a somewhat similar problem. For me (Empathy 3.2.0 - Ubuntu 11.10, but it's been like this for a long time) the Messenger for Mac-users appears to be online, and they can talk to me without any problems, but they don't get my messages. When they send me a message, I can respond, and it appears to me as if the message was sent. However, they don't get anything at all. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/599312 Title: MSN for Mac client invisible when comes online To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/telepathy-butterfly/+bug/599312/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I only found two files in '/var/log/installer/'; version and debug.
