[Bug 1710060] [NEW] Sound Chipmunks on playback with Jabra Evolve 65 UC Headset
Public bug reported: Whenever I choose the Jabra Evolve 65 UC Headset as the playback device, there are sound chipmunks. The same was the case with Jabra Motion Headset as well. But those two headsets worked perfectly in Windows, Mac OS and Android. There was a workaround mentioned in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1282285 by editing the contents of /etc/pulseaudio/daemon.conf : Changing ;default-sample-rate=44100 to default-sample-rate=48000 and then running pulseaudio -k made the sound on Jabra good (no more chipmunks). Also, when I opened the Sound Settings with the changes in daemon.conf in place, there seems to be some distortions in headset sound, which goes away few seconds after I close the sound settings window. This problem should be fixed, as many new Linux users will find it difficult to edit files requiring root access, and those who do not use command line won't be okay with it. In my previous comment (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana- design/+bug/683170/comments/77), I mistook the nature of consistency Mark was talking about (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana- design/+bug/683170/comments/4). If you want it to be consistent, then for the pinned launchers, make it so that clicking on the launcher creates a new instance, rather than switching to the running instance in other workspace. If you do not want to give up on the consistency, let the user choose between them. Provide a settings for Workspace so that user can choose between the two behaviours. I would not want someone else to see what applications are running on my other workspaces. Also if i move an application to other workspace, clicking on the launcher within the current workspace should invoke a new instance, rather than switching to the instance in other workspace. As this bug repots a hang behavior apport log collection tool cannot be run at the time of the hang. However, I tried to run this after a reboot, but the python script crashed. I recently upgraded my Ubuntu from 10.04 to 10.10. It looked great at first, but now its hurting me. Problem is I am loosing connection to my wireless connection at home frequently. Well restart of the system fixes the problem and I loose it after 10 minutes or so. These are the things are I tried: 1) Remove the wireless connection entry from the list and enter the wifi password again and reconnect. This works for a while and again the same story, I loose connection. If i repeat the same thing next time it does not work. Let me know if you need more details on this? [Bug 665793] [NEW] network manager applet notification position is incorrect

Binary package hint: gnome-panel
When network manager connects to my wifi ('dlink'), it shows a
notification that it has connected but this isn't positioned right.
I've seen this problem with not just 10.04 but a few releases earlier as
well. If I hover my mouse on it, it disappears and reappears once I move
it away.
