[Bug 1946779] Re: [SRU] lv2 plugin installs to wrong directory

2021-10-20 Thread Rob van den Berg
I just installed geonkick from impish proposed and geonkick is found and makes
sound.
I did see did dpkg -l geonkick lists /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu , just the dir,
no files.

I'm sorry for my lack of feedback :-/

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Bluetooth isn't that important to
me but still I think this should work.
I'm suspecting it might have to do with usb failure as in

[Bug 1326133] [NEW] pcmanfm doesn't show icons for mounted devices

2014-06-03 Thread Rob van den Berg
Public bug reported:

Suddenly PCManFm doesn't show the icons for mounted drives (both USB
google-drive-ocamlfuse)
Anyone else has this ?

Today I was trying out cairo-dock. I decided to remove it and noticed my
desktop was kind of messed up. Icons were very far apart. Later on I
noticed the icons for mounted drives were missing from the desktop and I
found that the icons are no longer in the sidepane of pcmanfm.

[Bug 1317514] [NEW] Kupfer stops responding to keyboard input

Sometimes kupfer doesn't respond to the keyboard, specifically the

[Bug 1284273] [NEW] Musescore mistakenly suspends pulseaudio because of missing gawk

2014-02-24 Thread Rob van den Berg
Public bug reported:

xubuntu 14.04

From http://musescore.org/en/node/22727
By default Ubuntu has mawk installed instead of gawk and so Musescore suspends
pulseaudio when it does not need to.
A temporary fix is to install gawk, however this should work out of the box.

I've created a symlink to mawk and this seems to work, pulseaudio is not
suspended anymore

Re: [Bug 196225] Re: [needs-packaging] Sonic Visualiser

2010-05-04 Thread Rob van den Berg
Hi Gastón

I'v build a new deb with updated packages but somehow my upload won't show
in the PPA.
I need to figure out what is wrong. Maybe I'll just erase the package and
upload a new one... quick and dirty.

btw liboggz1 is replaced by liboggz2 in the repo's, SV builds fine with that
on my local pc.

2010/5/4 Gastón Avila avila@gmail.com

When trying to install sonic visualizer into a fresh Ubuntu Lucid, the
 package liboggz1 was requested and
 reported as unable to install.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
sonic-visualiser: Depends: liboggz1 (= 0.9.9) but it is not installable
 E: Broken packages

 I found it in
 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/i386/liboggz1/0.9.9-4build1
and after installing it, it all was great, and sonic-visualizer runs
 perfectly. Hope this helps.
 Thanks always

After adding flac audio files to the tracklist and click on Write to

2009-10-26 Thread Rob van den Berg
I have successfully booted with the nvidia drivers disabled (thus using the nv
driver)
Will do a couple of reboots with and without the drivers enabled and see what
happens

[Bug 290498] Re: linux-rt restricted to one CPU

2009-06-08 Thread Rob van den Berg
@Realtime Dutchman
Have you got a amd64 build for the rt-kernel, or could you give me instructions
how to do it ?

I've build an rt-kernel in the last couple of weeks following the advice
from vivichrists post https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-
rt/+bug/290498/comments/26 and the Master Kernel Thread
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=311158.

Somehow I end up with a huge kernel image (200+ mb) and pulseaudio
becomes very unstable (unusable) and flash (youtube etc) becomes
unusable because of the pulseaudio thing.

greetings from a fellow dutchman

Luctor

[Bug 290498] Re: linux-rt restricted to one CPU

2009-03-23 Thread Rob van den Berg
I have installed it, two things happend:

1) Nvidia drivers wouldn't install / run, so I had to use the x.org nv driver
2) after a while the pc froze; don't remember if I used ALT-F1 sudo reboot,
or did a hard (power button) reset.

[Bug 205223] Re: 32bit GdkPixbuf modules not loaded when using ia32-libs

2008-04-18 Thread Rob van den Berg
I've installed this package
http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/tmp/ia32-libs_2.2ubuntu10~test1_amd64.deb
and it solved the icon problems in acroread and transcribe
(http://www.seventhstring.com/xscribe/overview.html)
although transcribe still gives this warning Gtk-WARNING **:
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/filesystems/libgio.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64, but
it seems to work ok
