[Bug 1277637] Re: Add support for OpenSearch
Is this fixed? I just installed Ubuntu Touch 15.04 r24 and OpenSearch support doesn't seem to extend to the browser GUI - though the search engine configuration files are OpenSearch description files. To add a search engine I had to remount / rw and edit a new OpenSearch file. What I was expecting was some magic in the browser GUI that recognised (even if prompted to do it by the user) the rel=opensearch link in the page and download/add the new file itself. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1277637 Title: Add support for OpenSearch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app/+bug/1277637/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 883592] Re: Clicking sound menu crashes unity-panel-service
I installed 12.04 alpha 1 on a newly partitioned disk. The behaviour was exactly the same: mousing over the sound applet icon caused the error reported above. zerwas' Composite xorg.conf edit seems to be all that was needed to make the problem go away. My xorg.conf was generated by nvidia-settings for two monitors of different resolutions on the same card using 'X screen + Xinerama', if that helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/883592 Title: Clicking sound menu crashes unity-panel-service To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-sound/+bug/883592/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 186147] Re: ubiquity failed to remove conflicting files
I have a Dell Mini 9 currently installing 11.04 i386 desktop from a USB flash disk. It had 10.10 on it. I booted from the flash disk, chose the Install option and the new (is it?) upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04 option, got a little message to say I hadn't configured any swap, was returned to the partitioner, selected my previous swap partition to be used as swap, and then proceeded as usual. It had been showing the narwhals and the message Removing conflicting operating system files... for two hours or more. I Ctrl+Alt+F1, killed the last three (two processes + their parent, can't remember exact process details) ubiquity processes, got a 'cannot continue' dialogue, and elected to go through the install again from a desktop. This time I only got the 'Erase' and 'Something else' options. I chose the 'Something else' option, selected my existing / and swap partitions to be used without formatting. ... Time passes ... I'm almost certain this second time (no reboot, it's a follow-on from the Removing conflicting..., that I *un-checked* the 'download files' option early on in the install. I checked it the first time through. It's currently Retrieving file 9 of 30, which seems unexpected given the unchecked download option. It's also counting down seconds to zero for each file, which seems an odd thing to do. I don't know how useful any observations are after I killed those processes, so I'll post this just to record still happening. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/186147 Title: ubiquity failed to remove conflicting files -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 30867] Re: nautilus shows drive labels instead of volume labels
I am also very glad to see this is a reported bug. Instead of trying to chance the drive labels, I think we should focus on changing nautilus so it displays the volume/partition labels, like it used to. Anyone have any insight at all (to what could have caused this problem to come back after it was fixed)? -- nautilus shows drive labels instead of volume labels https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/30867 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Sebastien Bacher mentioned that nautilus uses hal, so I think this bug could be related. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/33794 ? -- nautilus shows drive labels instead of volume labels https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/30867 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 185791] Re: Ristretto not opening files
I could be completely deranged! Since I can no longer recreate the problem, it is possible I could have been trying Open folder. I'm sure I would have used the button on the toolbar, which is Open folder. But I'm equally sure I would have used Open from the file menu. Ristretto is working just fine for me too - it's a great utility. I'll try to recreate the circumstances I observed the 'bug' in, if I can't do it, and nobody else can, then it must be my mistake. [Bug 185791] [NEW] Ristretto not opening files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ristretto First saw ristretto in the list for update-manager this morning. Thought it looked interesting, so tried it. The File..Open chooser showed folders enabled (could be opened), but all files disabled (could not be opened). Closed and restarted ristretto (from command line) several times. Could not open files - chooser showed all files greyed out. Tried right-clicking the file chooser to enable Show hidden files, same result, all files greyed out. On next start of ristretto, I could open files. I believe (can't remember exactly) that disabling show hidden files got me back to the all files greyed out state. Last time it showed the file chooser with all files greyed out, I used the File..Recently used menu to re-open one of the files that I couldn't open via the File chooser. Since I used the Recently used menu, I haven't been able to recreate the problem - it always shows files enabled for opening in the file chooser. ** Affects: ristretto (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ristretto not opening files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/185791 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
