[Bug 1094780] [NEW] [Aspire 5551, Realtek ALC272X, Speaker, Internal] fails after a while: sometimes there is crackly there is crackily or otherwise distorted sound or none at all

2012-12-30 Thread Shane H
Public bug reported:

For example, when I am listening to YouTube music videos in Chrome,
sometimes the sound will play fine, but other times I will hear the
music without the singing, and other times it will be very crackly.

Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

Both the sound while listening on the laptop speakers and sound while
listening on headphones are affected.

[Bug 778125] Re: [spread] Shift-Alt-↑ should trigger the expo mode for all windows in the current workspace

2011-11-14 Thread Shane H
I've also noticed that Super+W does nothing.

In Unity 3D, it also triggers exposé mode.

[Bug 280644] Re: internal microphone not working properly in acer aspire 5720, can't record

2011-07-11 Thread Shane H
I might or might not have the same bug. If I don't, please PM me so I
can set up a new bug.

I have an Acer Aspire 5551. The internal microphone doesn't work in
Ubuntu Natty 11.04, but does in Windows 7.

[Bug 782465] Re: Totem Player won't play an internet video, but VLC does

2011-07-10 Thread Shane H
I suppose the file size is rather large. If you go on YouTube and select
very high resolution (i.e. large file size per second), the same thing
might happen.

My internet connection is somewhere between 1 and 3 Mbits/second.

Re: [Bug 782465] Re: Totem Player won't play an internet video, but VLC does

2011-07-09 Thread Shane H
I didn't try it.
In my opinion, Totem should know itself how long to wait before
splaying the video to avoid mid-video buffering – like YouTube's video
player does.

[Bug 669199] Re: Text becomes unreadable when selected in an upward direction

2011-07-08 Thread Shane H
I don't notice this problem in Natty as much.

Possibly unrelated is a problem with highlighting in the Nokia 2690
Manual.pdf file I provided to you.

I'll attach a screenshot of what I mean.

Yes.
It works fine if I use the above commands.

(Possibly unrelated:) There are occasional buffering delays though.

[Bug 796048] [NEW] Creator Unknown artist for radio stations

2011-06-11 Thread Shane H
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: banshee

It doesn't make sense for a (traditional) radio station to have an
artist. The Unknown Artist designation in the titlebar and in the
radio browser just clutters up the program.

Feel free to ask further questions.
Thank-you.
