There is no unity-2d in my updated packages in the last 24 hours, so
updating does not fix this.

[Bug 335512] Re: [i945] intel video card automatically detected on live cd, but not on the installed system

2009-03-01 Thread Silviu Grijincu
After an update last night X failed to start and after trying a few things to
solve
the problem, I decided to re-install Ubuntu.
This time the resolution is correct on the first boot and everything works well.
xorg.conf does not contain the driver line on this install.
mention: I used the same alpha-5 CD as the last install.

[Bug 335512] Re: [i945] intel video card automatically detected on live cd, but not on the installed system

2009-02-28 Thread Silviu Grijincu
I ran the two tests and this is what happened:

1. I removed the driver line from xorg.conf and after logging out
/var/log/Xorg.0.log shows that I am using the intel driver. Everything works as
expected, no problems.
2. I renamed /etc/X11/xorg.conf and after logging out there was no new
xorg.conf created, still all works well.

I know that is not a real fix of the problem, it's just a work-around until the
bug is fixed.

[Bug 321560] Re: Left click has middle click behaviour

2009-02-02 Thread Silviu Grijincu
I added this[1] repository for the intel graphics driver and after an
update the left click stopped causing problems.

[Bug 321560] [NEW] Left click has middle click behaviour

2009-01-26 Thread Silviu Grijincu
Public bug reported:

I have Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha 3 on a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop.
After an update today, when left clicking:
* in a text document some other selected text is pasted
* on a link in firefox opens the link in a new tab
* nautilus opens folders in new tabs too

Selecting text using my touch-pad does not work either due to this.

I don't know what package has the bug though.

 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 239435] Re: It doesn't show my avatar with the Yahoo Protocol!

2008-06-13 Thread Silviu Grijincu
i can confirm this as well
i had this problem in pidgin 2.4.1 and waited for a new version hoping that
maybe it will be solved
but that did not happen
there is no way to put an avatar to your account, it does not work, either from
the pidgin page or the Modify Account page.
i tried jpg,gif big and small fromats.I even tried a 40x40 photo, thinking that
maybe it can not resize itnothing
